Avoid Poolside Rooms and You Should Be OK
Our sleep was interrupted by significant noise from the nearby interstate and loud guests using the outdoor pool between the hotel and the interstate. If we were to stay again, we'd ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. I can't believe I'm saying this but we found the artwork at the hotel dark and depressing.

Do not stay here!
Do not stay here! I am not sure how they can be considered Marriott worthy. Torn curtains, stained carpet, dust thick enough to run my finger over on the ice bucket lid, and very noisy. I had concerns when I pulled up and should have listened to my gut feeling, but thought I would go ahead and give it a try. My recommendation to you is to keep driving by this one and don't stop.

Ignorant staff
You can look at my other reviews and see that I rarely give negative reviews, BUT nothing irritates me than hotel staff that makes you feel like they are rushing to get you out of their way. Checkout time is at 11 AM. Why was housekeeping banging on my door at 9am? Before I even went to eat breakfast. Second, and I could be wrong, but I thought breakfast ended at 9:30. I went down there at about 850 and the two women working had put almost everything away except for the bread and whatever was left over of the eggs. There were no regular size plates, so I used the dessert plates that were available. They looked so irritated that I was there, no one said hello, and they were rushing around me actively taking the food away while I was trying to take some things to my room. I am traveling on business and wanted to be in and out… I wasn’t someone making a mess or trying to take my time… even if I was, I’m sorry to have disrupted a couple of minutes of your day while you were doing what you’re paid to do. The front desk people were nice, but it couldn’t have been more clear that the people at breakfast were just rushing to get out of there.

The hotel smelled of mold and artificial fragrance…something similar to a glade plug in that did not hide the underlying smell of mold and mildew. The smell was prevalent from the time we walked in to the room. We cracked open the window and there was an old mud wasp nest. If you are sensitive to smells this is not the place to stay. We didn’t stay the two nights as planned…we could only tolerate one.

This was a quick stop, 1 night only. Front desk was very friendly and easy to check in. Walked into 1st room and it smelled really moldy. Went back to front desk and they took us to another room down the same hall on 1st floor. It didn't smell so we dropped our things off and left to go get dinner. Came back a few hours later to get ready for bed and found live bugs in our beds. We video taped them and showed the front desk. She immediately got us another room on the 2nd floor in a handicapped room. We tore the beds apart to make sure there were no bugs and ended up staying the night because we needed to get on the road the next morning. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff was extremely friendly. Would we stay again? I'd have to say no.
