Romancing Moroccan history.

Walking the labyrinthine streets of the medina in Fes, you wonder what awaits you behind the big door of Riad Karawan. You step straight into a tale from the Arabian nights. The cool courtyard opening to the sky, the hospitality of the staff, the stunning monochromatic decor. The suites are decadent. The baths indulgent. And the pearl- the terrace. A view over the old city. Food and drink to spoil your tastebuds. The atmosphere- pure romance of history. Breakfast is a taste of many local delicacies. The hammam caters to your sensual delights. The Medina at your feet. If you can afford it, this place will make all your Moroccan dreams come true.

Wonderful

Absolutely wonderful. Staff were helpful, attentive, discreet. Rooms beautifully decorated and totally unique, breakfasts and dinners delicious and well-presented. Hammam and massage out of this world!

One of my favorite hotels!

We prefer small boutique luxury hotels for our traveling and this was one of the best. After a meticulous 12 year renovation this hotel exceeded our expectations.
Coming out of the chaotic alleyway’s of Fez the doors open to a private tastefully decorated space including a very nice courtyard with fountain, a library off to one side and a living room on the other. One favorite place is the open rooftop where you can experience the magic of Fez
All service is 5 star professional and the food is wonderfully prepared. Every need is catered to.
Our room was lovely in that it included a separate room off the main bedroom and a private outdoor courtyard with fountain where we enjoyed coffee in the morning.
More like home than a hotel our 3 night stay was memorable

5 stars all the way!

Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff team, amazing hospitality (shout out to Oman!). It was our #1 favorite stay of the entire trip!

Lovely decorated Riad in a great location. The rooms look nice in photos but I found them very difficult once inside - nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, really poor lighting for getting ready in the evening, etc. The shower head in our room was terrible - spraying everywhere and so hard it was sharp and painful on my face even at lowest stream. I had to cover it with my hand just to finish my shower. The food at the hotel restaurant is not very good and the view from the rooftop is not as good as other restaurants. Otherwise though, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Honestly I don’t think this booking is worth the cost. I would personally choose somewhere else if I were to come back to Fes (and regret that I didn’t for this trip).
