Perfection in the mountains – an unforgettable stay
We were particularly impressed by the personal attention. Every staff member treats the guests with genuine warmth and great attentiveness. You feel welcome and in the best of hands from the very first moment.
The hotel also delighted us with its culinary offerings. The food was excellent, varied, and of the highest quality every day. Every course was prepared with a lot of love. The service was first-class, attentive, warm, and left nothing to be desired.
The childcare deserves special praise. Our son felt completely at home from the first day on and was cared for with a lot of warmth and dedication. This allowed us to enjoy our time off to the fullest as well.
The location right at the lift station is perfect and offers an ideal starting point for beautiful hikes. The dreamlike view of the mountains makes every day a special experience and ensures pure relaxation.
The Sonnenburg is far more than a five-star hotel. It is a place where hospitality is lived with heart and to which one always likes to return. We thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts for this unforgettable stay and are already looking forward to seeing you again.

A couple of issues to mar the experience
2. Warm, slightly congealed cheese served on side plates marred the Schuna Raclette meal
3. As a guest at the hotel, astounded to be charged for tap water on the veranda given the cost of staying there!
On the plus side, definitely ski-in and out, ski and boot hire in the hotel, a lot of very good food choice in the main restaurant for breakfast and above average food for dinner. Friendly wait staff and very comfortable bedroom.
