Guaranteed well-being, absolutely recommended!

An excellent, super clean hotel, very well located, parking available for free.
The staff is extremely friendly and professional.
I would mention Cristela at the reception, but also the breakfast staff Mirela and Mihai. On the second morning you brought us unsolicited cappuccino and late macchiato :-)
We also ate time and again in the hotel restaurant: everything extremely recommended, whether beef tartare, pork neck or beef streams. The wine collection also leaves nothing to be desired.
The beautiful thing about the Hotel Mercure in Timisoara: we were there in 2024 and so convinced of the quality that we came back in 2025. And the quality has not only decreased but has even improved.
Thanks to the whole team and love Greeting and Horatiu, the best and funniest bartender in the world:-)

Nice hotel declining in quality

3.5/5 for the hotel – 4.7/5 for the restaurant
Disappointed with the condition of the hotel for an establishment dating back only three years and an Accor chain. The room and the bathroom were apparently clean because of a smell like boiled chicken, no room to turn around, and sheets giving off a heavy smell of being poorly washed. The many touch-screen controls are impractical and the toilet flush was particularly complicated to use. Furthermore, I see no difference between the standard and superior rooms.
It is a shame, because the staff is very kind and the restaurant is excellent. The hotel simply deserves more maintenance and care to live up to its age and standing.

Enjoyed my stay, would stay again.

City centre location if that’s your thing. No real atmosphere as the bar and restaurant were pretty much empty. My room was clean and comfortable, with no complaints. The decor though was very tacky bling in style, which was evident throughout the public areas. Not offensive, but definitely amusing.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and there was safe onsite parking for my motorcycle.

Mercure restaurant

Yesterday we went to the restaurant at the Mercure Hotel, and the experience was disappointing. I ordered some food and a glass of the house wine, but when I checked the bill, I noticed that I had been charged for a different wine, obviously a more expensive one.
In addition, my friend asked whether it would be possible to make a Campari Spritz instead of an Aperol Spritz. Even though the only difference was the type of drink used, a large bottle of sparkling water was added to the bill and charged separately.
When we asked for an explanation, the waiter said that the water was for the cocktail and claimed he had understood a different type of wine than the one I had ordered, even though we had clearly specified what we wanted. In the end, we had to pay extra because of the staff’s mistakes or lack of attention.
I find it embarrassing that a 4-star hotel would operate this way. We definitely will not return, and I recommend that everyone carefully check their bill before paying.
Maybe it’s not a coincidence that the terrace was almost empty on a Friday evening.
