Ugly, irritating, unfriendly for marriage, quiet or respected people

A shout to Tourism police in Egypt
They have a ferocious dog. They trained it to attack street cats to death to prevent them from being around in the hotel. They told me during reservation that my cats are welcome and they didn’t tell me anything about having a wild huge dog but after going I found this wild animal attacking me and my cat. This dog is dangerous on children as well please take care. I left right away after this accident after staying less than two nights and after hearing a lot of guests telling that he kills and eats cats.
- AC is not working.
-Windows are not sealed enough to the extent I was scared the dog may attack us while we are sleeping.
-After checking in and unpacking they told me there was a mistake and you need to pack again cause this room is reserved.

Absolutely Fantastic Location and Extremely Friendly Hotel Staff
DownTown Dahab hotel is located right in front of the water. It is in the middle of everything in Dahab. There are grocery stores, restaurants, shops all around the hotels but yet it is quiet inside the hotel. The exterior of the hotel has a theme of a ship with a sailing mast. The view from the hotel top floor is breathtaking. You can see the entire bay of Dahab from the roof top. There is a sitting area in the very front of the 2nd floor overlooking the street and the bay. It has some soft and conformable chairs and sofas to enjoy the view.
This hotels is a small boutique hotel with less than 15 rooms so each guest gets a very focused attention from the staff. The rooms are not that small. It is adequate for 2 people and is clean. The beds are comfortable and the beddings are clean. Each room has air-conditioning, closet, refrigerator and a TV. The windows are not properly seals but that is not a big issue because it hardy ever rains in Dahab. They are currently renovating the hotel and is currently expanding to a slightly bigger hotel. They are adding a new swimming pool in the back plus if not mistaken about 10-12 more rooms.
The hotel staff is one of the best I have seen in a long time. They are absolutely super friendly and super super nice. Being a small hotel if you ask anything to one of the staff members then everyone knows about it and therefore things are done a lot faster. The hotel employees will go beyond the normal steps to ensure that every guests are happy and satisfied. During our stay we were dealing with Sahab, he has an excellent attitude of hospitality and customer service. His vision and expertise of helping the customers is a very important and valuable asset for the hotel.
The restaurant is located just in-front of the hotel across the street over looking the bay. Every day there are various breakfast options which are all very delicious and healthy. The sitting area is just over the water so you can see the water below.
I would say this this is an excellent hotel in my opinion but one advise to every one is that Dahab by its nature is neither similar to Sharm el Sheikh nor to Hurghada or Cairo. So the level of quality of the hotels cannot be justified by comparing with the ones in other larger cities. Dahab is a very laid back mellow village and so are its inhabitants. You can not expect the same level of a 5 star hotel in Dahab compared to other modern cities.
Over all the hotel is absolutely fantastic, when the renovation and expansion is fisnihed I believe it will be one of the best hotels in the city center. Most importantly the employees are the best and so I give this hotel a 5 star review.

Great place
We really enjoyed our stay at Downtown, the place was in the middle of the turistic walkway, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating, especially the receptionist Shehab. The rooms were fairly clean and there were different options for breakfast all very filling. The only downside was that the weather was a bit too cold for us to go swimming so we definitely look forward to coming back when it's gets a bit warmer.
