Everything was great however the pool area was having work done so was not open.Not a major issue but would have been better if it was operational

Terrible hotel. Avoid it

This hotel is undergoing renovations and is not fit to stay in. I had booked 2 weeks, but upon arrival cancelled. The pool is closed, our room required about 100 yard walk around the poorly lit pathways, then up ramps to the third floor as there were no elevators. The room was sparsely furnished, no robes, toiletries etc. In my opinion they should have closed until the renovations were completed.

Thank you for the review. All feedback is appreciated. The property is a resort and is spread out. You booked a queen room, which has a walk up, not an elevator. In this wing there is not a 3rd floor but only 2 floors in this section. We understand that the renovations might be disruptive, however, this has been factored in to the cost per night. We hope to see you again once the renovations are completed.

Good place to stay if not by yourself.

Room was good, breakfast was great, disappointed that pool was being renovated. Handy location to Woolworths and bus stop but a few locals hang around the area.

Pool was under construction despite being advertised as a selling point of the hotel. Was informed by an automated massage after making the booking - disappointing

Disappointed

I recently stayed at the Leea for 5 nights in total preceding and following a tour to Kakadu. I have to say I was expecting more so was disappointed in this supposed 4 star hotel. The main thing was the hotels outdoor area including the pool area was being renovated so was not available. I made my booking initially in November last year and at no stage was advised that the pool would not be available. I would have chosen another hotel if I knew. As it was peak season and school holidays it would have been difficult to change to another hotel once there. The free pass to the pool at the waterfront was not adequate compensation as was 10 minutes walk away and no lessening of price was offered. The room was comfortable and the staff were good and the location good as opposite Woolworths but these were the only good things . The laundry facilities were dirty and expensive. I had 1 meal at the restaurant. Service was very slow and the meal quite expensive and not very nice. I would not stay here again. I sent an email outlining my concerns and got an auto reply that they have received and would reply but so far nothing. I left on the 13th July so has been a week.

Please re send the email as we have not received anything from you thus far. We do apologise for the inconvenience and there was notification that the hotel is under refurbishment during your confirmation. As you mentioned vouchers have been made available to utilise the wave pool during this time. If you have a look at our pricing compared with other hotels currently, the reduction in price upon booking, is due to the refurbishment. We are currently the lowest priced hotel in Darwin, which is why there was not additional monetary reduction offered. Regarding your dining experience, we appreciate the feedback, and when this occurred if you had let us know perhaps, we could have done something about it at the time, and perhaps something else could have been made for you by the kitchen that you might have enjoyed. Regarding our Food and Beverage pricing, I think you will find we are very competitive, and not expensive.
Again, we apologise your experience did not meet your expectations this time. Perhaps you would consider after the refurbishment to reconsider.
