This motel has one of the best breakfast offerings of all the places I have stayed in Australia, great cooked options like bacon, eggs, mushrooms, sausages, hash browns, cereals, good quality fruit juices, fruit options, toast, good coffee, stayed here a few times now and rooms are fine, comfy beds, big TV, tea coffee in room, handy for town or the gorge, gated parking

Very pleasant stay.Terrific breakfast

My friend and I stayed here before and after completing Jatbula trail.Our room was quite spacious and comfortable.Shower was excellent.Tea and coffee facilities in room.The included breakfast which had both hot and continental options was excellent.Even had delicious perculated coffee.The location is about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Katherine.The owner was really nice and accommodating too.We really enjoyed our stay here.Thank you

Thank God I booked one night only

This was a horrible experience. I booked one night (thank God) and arrived at 6 pm from Darwin. Gates are closed, sign says that Exit gates not working. No way to communicate with reception. Just NO WAY. Apparently I supposed to receive an email with instructions and the code, but I didn’t receive message, or email or spam - nothing. Tired and upset I was jumping in front of the gates and trying to find out what to do. Phones don’t answer ( not 1300 , not direct) - just don’t answer.
Finally one of the tourist felt sorry for me and contacted the owner somehow.
Just listen to this: reception open TILL 12. The check in starts at 2. Is it crazy or what?
The listing said 7-7 open hours. I would never book this nasty place if I knew.
Anyway. The room is horrible. One of the blinds is broken and constantly down, so it’s like night outside. I had to switch on light during the day. But not TOTALLY down, about 20 cm above the window. So it’s not fully dark in the room at night and no privacy as people can see me inside when light is on.
Drainage smell in bathroom, broken light, tiles, soap dish. Shower sprinkles hot water from the joint.
And the worst part - can’t contact the owner.
Since the Exit gate is broken, people have great difficulties to pass each other in a very narrow driveway as it was designed as one way. And there are more rooms than parking spots.
Room 28. Paid $208
The conclusions: follow my rule and NEVER book more than one night at new place.

Very disappointed. Motel unit poorly equipped, needed maintenance. View through window was of carpark and passage for people accessing other rooms.
We only stayed one night (paid for 3) and found a much nicer/place.

Good average motel… however parking is limited & more so this year with repairs in progress!!! Great Brekki
