Cosy n friendly

The lady who owns the place is lovely its a cosy comfortable well run little bed an breakfast. If u want a hotel with private room then this isnt for you. Its priced well an have stayed there more than once in the last two years

Wouldn't let my dog stay there

I booked this hell hole for 3 nights and as soon as i arrived i knew something wasn't right. Looked nothing like its photos and was very run down and dirty looking, Had to wait for nearly 30 minutes for someone to come to the office so we could get a key, got into our room to find we didn't have our own bathroom, The linen on the bed looked very dirty opened the fridge and it smelled like off milk was right next to the bed and was very noisy. Ended up only staying the one night and was told to just leave the key at the office. So went and stayed somewhere else for the next 2 nights in Dandenong, I had used my credit card to book this hole and they still took the 3 nights i have called them and you get someone who can't even speak much english and i am still waiting for my money to be returned to my card SO DON"T STAY HERE

Terrible, never again

The lady ( very rude) accused my husband of stealing 2 towels and took his bond. I told her to check the CTV footage but she refuses. If the bond is not coming back in the next 24 hours, he wiil report to the ombudsman and tax office (as cash only business and would not give a receipt)

Never again!

Arrived in Frankston just after lunch and needing accomodation for a Friday night I checked Booking.com and found this place.
Economical ($115.00) and close to the city I chose a double room and gave my CC details.
Arrived at property and could not access our key from the lock box, rang the proprietor who spoke with a strong Asian accent that I could not understand, a man who claimed to be the caretaker came to our car and spoke to her, he then opened the lock box with some code and gave me the key, he led me up to our room and left me.
The double room was rather small, and I had noticed as we walked through the premises a very strong smell, probably tobacco, and this was also prominent in the room.
I noticed that there was no ensuite, and when I checked where the shared bathroom was the carpet outside, and outside the shared toilet, was extremely stained.
I walked back through the house to the front door I noticed that the shared lounge, kitchen etc were very dirty and smelly.
I returned to our car and spoke to my wife about the condition of the premises, we are both seniors, my wife is 76 years old and told me in no certain term that she would not use shared facilities or put up with a smelly, dirty room.
I decided that we would not stay, so rang the owner and cancelled the booking. This time talking to a younger person who spoke english well.
She told me to leave the key in the room and close the door, which I did, I asked about a refund and was told that I had to apply through the website.
I cancelled again through the Booking.com website and was told, via email, that they would look at the situation and get back to me.
By Tuesday afternoon the following week I had heard nothing, so I emailed the property owner and Booking.com to request information.
The next morning I had a 'phone call from Booking.com (from the Netherlands I understand) saying that the property owner was not prepared to refund the $115.00, but as a goodwill gesture Booking.com were prepared to refund me 25 Euros.
I knew there was no chance of a full refund so I accepted the 25 Euros and have written off the rest.
With the condition of the property, the attitude of the owner and the lack of empathy from them I would not recommend this property to anyone other that perhaps a backpacker, even then $115.00 would be an overcharge.
In future I will never pay for accommodation before inspecting it, and I do commend Booking.com for their efforts in trying to fix a bad situation.

Overpriced, Dirty & Dangerous

We arrived and waited 25 minutes until someone turned up to let us in. The lady was extremely rude and then demanded we pay an extra $20 for a spare mattress before we even saw the room, snatched from my hands and not even a thank you when we handed over the money. The carpets were stained and dirty, the walls and decor were old with stains and the whole place smelt like cigarettes. Another guest who had been drinking by the pool all day started swearing through our door so we threatened to call the police. This place clearly does not care about the service, cleanliness or the type of clientele they let through in. $290+$20 for a spare mattress for 2 nights is a complete rip off considering - I'd value at $70 per night. Avoid!
