It was a late lunch and I didn't have to wait long at all. Yummy!

Appy the Fijian cook serves the best steak ever. It must be Aged rump and the generous serve of aldente vegetables were equally tasty. I will be back next Sunday for sure. Good price too. Darrell 9 September 2024. I was selling my Persian Pickled Garlic to the tourists and had a fun day!

Fathers Day Lunch

Visited today Fathers Day with children and grandchildren. Beer staff very friendly considering the crowd that was watching to be served. Smoker food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Pool great escape on such a hot day. Problem was the children waited 1hr and 35 mins for a hamburger and chicken tenders. We approached the lady who was we were told in charge of meals to be met by a passive aggressive person. Learnt her name is Sam. This didn’t happen once but twice when we asked were are meals were up to. For a beautiful venue this totally spoilt the day for all.

HI Di, thanks for your feedback. Waiting that long is not to the standards that we set for ourselves. We had implemented a new system days prior to Father's Day and unfortunately had some teething problems on the day which was very busy, however this is not an excuse. Our typical meal times take less than 30mins and our BBQ Smoker meals are pretty much immediate (the food has been cooking for 12 hours). Lovely country pub

Lovely pub and friendly staff, unfortunately meals were really average. Had the Italian lamb shank which was quite bland with a tomato sauce and no herbs or flavor and the Island fish curry which was really salty. Disappointed but would come back for a cold beer and enjoy the atmosphere.

Rubbish

Been going to this Pub over 7 years. What used to be a great parmy schnitzel was miniature due to what looks like Indians running the show. Burnt small portions etc..whenever this culture embues into Australian cuisine they wreck it! Won’t be returning

Our Fijian chefs get compliments daily on the wonderful food they produce and the additional island flavours they bring to our menu. They are excellent chefs, hard working, dedicated to their craft and have been embraced by the Tyalgum community. If you had a problem with your meal, you should have alerted our maitre d and they would have taken care of you. If you didn't like the food and want to write a review that is totally fine, however making racial slurs towards our staff is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Cosy friendly hinterland hideaway

We were met by Sam and a smile. Easy check in to find very big comfortable clean rooms and amenities. They accommodate all types of genre's. From the chess room to playing pool. My favourite was the fact there were 2 big fires outside to sit around. (there is a large swimming pool also) Fire inside as well. I was with a group of 10 and was delighted when all the meals came out at once. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Well done guys.
