Superb service and good food.

This hotel has consistently high standards in all areas. Friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk. The reception and in addition concierge service. This service they were quick with quick to arrange what I asked for. Table reservation at the restaurant. Book 3 taxis and 2 private drivers. They provided useful information about Brussels history, national cuisine and cakes, waffles, chocolate. The breakfast room was delicate. Staff registered us for breakfast and followed us to the table. There are both hot and cold dishes for breakfast. I would especially note you cereal mixtures and yogurt were good. There was a calm atmosphere in the breakfast room. Dinner, for a couple was exquisite, excellent. Both main dish, lamb dish and dessert, Belgian waffles. We got a big nice hotel room in 4th floor. Room 411. There are two rooms in the hotel room. Living room, TV sofa, comfortable chair, office. WC is separate. Private spacious shower with clear transparent glass walls. Comfortable bath. Bedroom with large sovereign good bed. TV in the bedroom. It was good with locker space. There's a safe in the room. It is an easy to program with your own desired code. Good ventilation in the room. There is a good selection of TV channels. Wi-Fi is high efficient network. The hotel offers pick up brings service t/r Brussels Airport. My plane and luggage was a little delayed. Driver followed with online when. The plane arrived and waited with a name sign in the arrival hall. Driver in beautiful dark dress. We were driven to the hotel in a great nice Mercedes. This hotel is highly recommended.

Not a good experience at all!
The first night a man working at the hotel enterd with a key in to our room in the middle of the night. My daughter woke up with this man talking to her in a language she didn't understand, and than the said man said "OH" and went out of the hotelroom. It's outrageous and scary. Defenetly not something that should happen espacially during the night with a underage girl. When we talk to the man that was working that same night he denied it and said it was my dauthers fault the doors wasn't properly closed.
I don't want to mention the other issuse (clogged wc, phone ringning early morning, missing towels, AC controll didn't work, one rude hotellworker.)
Worst exeperience ever I've had at a hotel. I wouldn't say its close to a five star experience. This is insane.

Very helpful staff. Very comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep. I was happy with the regulated temperature in the room, especially on the hot summer day when I visited Brussels. Overall, a comfortable stay and a reasonable hotel. Yes, the building and the rooms are a little run down, but they were well maintained nevertheless. It might not be as luxurious as other hotels with the same star rating, but for the price I paid, I thought it was very reasonable.

I wanted to love my stay at the hotel. The front desk people were excellent. The area around the hotel was safe and there were restaurants within walking distance.
However, as for my room, my shower was clogged with hair and the problem extended further into the plumbing, so my sink was extremely slow to drain. The result was water all over the floor in the bathroom. A real mess. You can see this had happened before because there were water stains all over the room on the carpet. It was disappointing.

Great Location & Helpful Staff, But Needs Some Fixes

Le Chatelain Hotel – Great Location, Lovely Staff, But Room for Improvement
Le Chatelain is a charming hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, perfectly located for exploring Brussels. It’s close to tram connections and only about 16 minutes from the airport, making transfers easy. The surrounding area offers plenty of restaurants, and Avenue Louise – home to luxury boutiques – is just a one-minute walk away.
We stayed in the Executive Suite (Room 515), which overlooked the street and nearby shops. While the view was pleasant, the suite felt smaller than expected compared to other European executive suites. The hotel’s restaurant is lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
However, there are a few areas that need attention:
Electrical sockets beside the bed didn’t work. When reported, the concierge arrived with an extension cord immediately, suggesting this is a known issue. 
Ventilation in the bathroom was poor, leaving an unpleasant smell. On arrival, the room had a faint “old house” odour – not terrible, but not ideal. 
Housekeeping sometimes entered without knocking, so double-locking the door is advisable. Towels were occasionally insufficient for two guests, and slippers and bathrobes were only provided upon request. 
Despite these minor inconveniences, the neighbourhood is peaceful, and the staff’s helpfulness made our stay enjoyable overall. With a few improvements, Le Chatelain could truly deliver the premium experience it promises.
