To recommend for its tranquility

Very good hotel in its category
Very well located in a quiet area, with a large garden
Spacious and comfortable rooms
The only small downside in the room that was reserved for us was that the shower in the bathroom did not have handles to prevent falls (the shower floor is slippery).
The staff is welcoming and receives you in your language
A good tip, reserve a spot for your vehicle!

Nice, large old hotel but not "worn". We came by bicycle and the locked garage much appreciated, although having to wait for reception to open at 0800 might have ben challenging. Breakfast was excellent - if a little pricey. Comfortable beds and good shower
Would thoroughly recommend the "Het Wit Paard" for good beer and an authentic local Pub!

Cockroaches in the room

If you like to spend the night with cockroaches, you should book this hotel. The owner knows about the problem but still rents out the room. As long as they make money, you get the unwanted guests, and they regret that this was noticed during our stay.

We have taken note of the review you posted online. We regret that you chose to write it after learning that you would not receive the compensation you had requested from us.
As already communicated to you by email, we would like to reiterate the facts:
- As soon as you informed us, we immediately offered you a different room.
- We arranged for a licensed pest control company to inspect the situation right away.
- They confirmed it was a harmless specimen that had likely entered through an open window. Nothing further was found anywhere else in the hotel.
Immediately after your departure, we received from you a list of compensation demands, accompanied by claims that do not match the established facts. We genuinely regret that, after we did not agree to these demands, you subsequently posted a negative review.
We remain open to a reasonable conversation, but we also want to make clear that we do not let ourselves be guided by pressure from demands or online reviews that do not reflect reality.

Hotel is okay, but not worth a 4/5 star review.
Check in was slow and impersonal, the ladies seemed distracted and not particularly attentive. Information about the hotel was limited at check in so we were left to figure things out ourselves. No water in the room, this needed to be purchased at reception.
Reception was closed when we tried to check out at 08:30.
Room was okay but not outstanding, location for wider amenities was good but charge for parking at over 20€ felt expensive for a guest.
