Four nights at La Codoniz B&B

We stayed four nights at the La Cordoniz B&B and found it to be one of the best lodgings we have ever stayed in. The rooms and furniture were comfortable. The patrons were always friendly and helpful, and pleased to offer advice on how to get around or where to go. The food was prepared by a gourmet chef and always original and delicious. The common area is spacious, comfortble and welcoming. The grounds were huge, well landscapped and cared for.
The B&B was also in a central area of the region that provided easy access to several national parks, Pucon, Villarica, beaches, and whaever ne would like to enjoy in the region.

Great 3-night stay

Just echoing what others have said. La Cordoniz is tucked away off a dirt road and a winding driveway that opens to a beautiful pastoral setting with gardens, pasture, orchards, the works. The place is what a B&B should be: a cozy room with a great bed, the most delicious breakfast, and gracious hosts to guide you. Ivan and Cris were wonderful; Ivan always ready to pull out a map and give you ideas for the day, including shops or restaurants to stop at wherever you're going and Cris' breakfast was the tops - delicious homemade yogurt and granola, and while we were there rhubarb tartlets that are making me hungry now.
Do know that their dogs roam the property and are very friendly so you will meet them often.

Amazing stay at a special place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at La Codorniz with Ivan and Cris! They're property and the gardens are a truly special place - you can see and feel the tender love the went in to everything they do. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Absolutely Amazing stay at LaCodorniz

My wife, son (21) and daughter (17) had a wonderful 3-night stay at La Codorniz. We stayed in 2 impeccably clean and comfortable rooms with private baths (all rooms have private baths). Ivan was the perfect host who felt like a close long term friend by the end of our stay. He met us as we arrived early and let us check out late. The grounds are stunning and Ivan was happy to give us a tour. Each day started with a delicious and bountiful breakfast (included) of home made treats and Ivan’s advice for the day’s adventures. He even prepared a bagged lunch for our hike to the top of Volcan Villarrica. We had a rented car which is needed to enjoy this area of Chile. We found the place easily. I can not recommend LaCordoniz more highly. It is truly a magical place and we hope to return again someday.

Lovely country home with the most gracious of hosts

What to add to what's already been said? Ivan and Chris' lovely home, nestled in nature, is about as tranquil as you can find. You simply breathe in peace. Ivan is an authentically charming host with a wonderful sense of humor. And Chris turns her own garden produce into delicious treats: The best breakfast spread ever, most everything homemade. And then simple but elegant dishes for a light evening supper. When I think of the Lake District, I think of the surrounding countryside with its European feel. La Cordorniz fits in perfectly. But if you think of beach side madness, then by all means go to Villarrica or Pucon!
