The hostel was good but not great. They changed my room type on me without telling me so ended up in a smaller space than what was booked with a different bathroom set up. Cheap pillow ripped open in the middle of the night and made a mess in the room. Took 8 hours for someone to bring me a new pillow after I requested it. Paid for late checkout and staff starting removing my bedding and resetting it while I was still in the room.
Best thing about the hostel is the location! Enjoyed a happy hour at the bar too. Unsure of what the social life is really like as there were a 100+ high school students staying there (per the bartender).
Less friendly of a place than other hostels I've stayed at, but overall it was clean and easily connected to get around the city.

A budget bed for the stay in Berlin

The staffs are cool
The room is just enough for your overnight stay
Checkin and checkout quickly
The breakfast should be improved.

Generator Stay

Overall stay was great - staff were friendly, very good value for money. I stayed in a pod room where I had benefited from 20% off promotion when booking. Upon arrival, I was surprised with being upgraded to free breakfast and free late checkout. The bartenders were funny and created a great atmosphere. As a solo woman traveller, I felt safe overall but I do wish that the pods would somehow lock, at least from the inside. I would definitely stay again as it was affordable and comfortable.
