A rejuvenating stay!
We had the opportunity to stay at the Chatelard for several days during the holidays. The welcome is always a sure value, everyone is charming!
Bedroom 2 is beautiful, its view of the lake magic!
The staff is very attentive, mention to the new breakfast manager who is really very helpful and efficient!
Breakfasts are excellent and hearty, homemade jams, local honey, it's really appreciable!
The restaurant is an enchantment, we already miss it!
And the estate remains a natural paradise where it is good to walk, even in winter!
Long live this summer!

A wonderful stay!
As always a great welcome, very warm! An Impression of calm and serenity takes us upon arrival.
The staff is very attentive, very friendly, whether the restaurant, kitchens or morning.
We were able to enjoy the terrace for all meals. The products are always at the top, organic, local or close, homemade products. Ivan the chef has an impressive imagination for the creation of dishes, his second too is at the top!
The setting is heavenly, we feel the calm immediately permeate us.. Bedroom 2 is really beautiful, stunning views of the lake, vast, super nice!
In conclusion a fabulous stay, as always!

terrible disappointment
But what a disappointment...the setting is splendid, an exceptional view from the terrace on this summer dinner, the decoration, dishes is neat, in short the packaging is very attractive and inspiring but the contents....a fiasco, a scam...we never put comments or opinions but our disappointment is such that we want to share this catastrophic experience: the starters, dumplings with foie gras , um, inside rather a cream of sickening foie gras foam, hot and runny. Tuna tataki bathed in water supposedly infused with garden herbs with watermelon, resulting the texture and flavor of tuna are disappointing so softened and denatured by so much water, tasteless, flavorless. The risotto, well simply the rice is not cooked and therefore "crunchy" and the truffle rapé on top full of water (thawed?!). The hearts of artichokes served with fish have not been well peeled, it is necessary to sort once in the mouth the small hard leaves, very unpleasant. And the dessert, the paste of the pie tatin is not cooked, the chocolate tastes like cream and the eggplant of the mouth also had to burn... The chef did not taste the dishes he sent , it is not possible otherwise he would never have sent them. I think there was a problem that night... because we are talking about a menu at 52 euros per person... At this price, we must have a minimum of quality.. we are highlighted organic and local with all sauces in beautiful titles of dishes , it is a joke because in the end nothing is tasty and even tastes or textures are unpleasant or bad.

A fabulous restaurant
Four of us went for lunch & had the most wonderful meal in a delightful setting. We were able to sit on the terrace with views over the lake. We all had the menu du jour which was delicious: courgettes with sardine; leg of lamb with polenta, carrot & wonderful moutarde de la maison; poached apricots with a white nettle ice cream. With some lovely amuse buches, aperitifs, wine & coffee everything was perfect. The restaurant were totally unphased to hear that one of our group had an allergy to fish & shellfish & provided really interesting alternatives where necessary. The staff are very professional & attentive without being annoying. We would definitely return sooner rather than later.

Nicht umsonst den Umweg gemacht
Schon vor einigen Wochen haben wir anlässlich eines Besuchs in Slowenien in einem Lokal , welches auch der Organisation JRE zugehörig ist , beschlossen anlässlich unserer Atlantikküsten Reise die Domain du chatelard aufzusuchen. Dieser Umweg war Goldes wert. Wir würden von einer charmanten Schweizerin empfangen , die sich dann auch den ganzen Abend trotz gutem Besuch um uns gekümmert hat . Auch die gesamte Servicebrigade hat den sprichwörtlichen französischen Charme versprüht. Dass das Essen dann den hochgestellten Erwartungen entsprach , war schon fast selbstverständlich. Die Lage des Hotels an einem verträumten See mit Bieberbesatz , der wundervolle Blick von der Terrasse und die beste Bedienung hat die weite Umwegreise aufgewogen. Wir haben einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt gehabt.
