Perfect

you will find a friendly, caring and helpful team. They speaking a very good english. Rooms are clean. It is just 5 min to walk to the ferry to fort cochin. Good Restaurants and coffees are although in this area.

Cheap and good for one night

Close to the south railway station, very cheap price for a basic room. The owner is very helpful.
Beds are not conmfortable, the street is a bit noisy with trafic and dogs, and the hotel is not charming so that's why one night is enough.

Friendly Hotel in Good Location

The proprietor of this hotel is very friendly and helpful, it is located a few minutes walk from the main ferry jetty for Fort Cochin and only a short auto-rickshaw ride from the main bus and rail stations. He arranged some trips for us, the highlight being a 10 person punt trip around the Backwaters, a peaceful day with only the sound of birds and village life. Also excellent lunch provided on this trip.

Helpful Owner, Clean spacious rooms

We stayed in this lovely Residency for 3 nights! John was super accommodating about our last minute arrival, and very kind at helping us find things around ernakulum. Its super close to the ferry jetty to get to Fort Kochi, which is great! And there is a lot of cheap and delicious food options nearby. The rooms were super clean and nice, and the balcony was very atmospheric.

Clean & friendly

We literally spent 12 hours at John's and wish we had spent more! One of the cleanest places that we have stayed in a month in India. John is very welcoming, friendly, exceptionally helpful and speaks perfect English. The rooms have everything you need and more, there's a beautiful veranda, great book collection and helpful information about activities. It's a great location with some fantastic restaurants nearby and easy walking distance to the ferry jetty. Definitely recommend this tidy establishment!
