Many problems

A problematic hostel in several aspects. The facility has only three bathrooms and three showers for all guests, located on the ground floor beyond the reception and not connected to the rooms. The bathrooms, lacking windows, have insufficient ventilation that generates persistent odors of mold and humidity. The dormitories, which host numerous single and double beds, are quite overcrowded. The level of security is very low: during the day, it is possible to enter and go up to the dormitories without even passing by the lobby, and the coded doors are often left open by the staff.
The staff, mostly composed of young people staying at the facility, proved to be helpful when asked, but with a decidedly unprofessional approach. The atmosphere among them was that of a group of friends on vacation rather than a working staff: every request seemed to disturb an evening among acquaintances, and on more than one occasion, they lingered to chat loudly in the lobby until late at night, clearly audible from the dormitories. Many of them do not speak a word of Italian. Jokes about the guests and unfriendly comments greatly worsened the stay.
Although the overall cleanliness was acceptable, I do not feel comfortable recommending this facility.

Not bad for catania

I staid here for a 3 nights. Location is good all is near just the streets are not nice. The room was ok. Clean. My dorm was enough big and enough high. Breakfast was poor and coffee not good. Thanks god I had with me. And of course out too. The kitchen was too small The fridge was small too. Only 1 bathroom and WC for all hostel. And smell not good old maybe. They clean every day. The staff all were very kind. Maybe will use it again.

I recommend!

It's located in a quiet place, few minutes walking from the main city attractions, 20min walking to the bus thet goes to Etna mountain.
The Hostel, overall, is very chill, clean and cozy. Clean and big rooms, the beds all have their privacy: curtains, light and a small table.
Staff was awesome. All of them were welcoming and always helpful!
I recommend it!

Great place and people

Great place with great people. Close to city centre and the sights. They even organized movie and pasta night for the guests.
