Three days in Herculaneum

In an ancient and very suggestive context, brand new clean and functional residence in an excellent location to visit the excavations, the palace of Portici and the villas of the golden mile. Salvatore, our host, anticipated every need and always provided excellent solutions with advice on catering, visits to do, travel times for travel. Reserved parking is a breakthrough! Bravo!

Great host full of local information. Clean modern room with a great bed. The building is 300yrs old and it shows. Over 50 stairs to reach hotel. Loud street noises and light from hallway shines thru closed door. No microwave and fridge didnt cool.

Fine spot

We spent 1 night here. The friendly and helpful owners ensured a good reception with tips and advice on using the train, activities in the area and restaurants. Our room was beautiful. If you can walk stairs well, this spot is recommended (there is no elevator)

Great room offering fantastic value in the centre of Ercolano

We were very pleased with our choice of accommodation in Ercolano as Villa Cua provided us with a very nice room and bathroom. The room was also spotless with a good TV and the check in with staff was friendly and useful for information about the area and local transport. We had great views of Vesuvius from our window and we liked the free breakfast service of croissant and coffee at the café across the road. Ercolano had the bustle and vibes of an authentic Southern Italian town which we really liked - there were good restaurants close by; Herculaneum was only a two minute walk away and the train station (for Naples. Pompeii and Sorento) and Vesuvius Express bus was only ten minutes from our apartment. Please note that there are a number of stairs to the apartment which we had to climb regularly and the street and traffic noise outside was constant even in the middle of the night however reviews we had seen highlighted these issues so we didn't let it bother us. Villa Cua is the perfect place to enjoy the region at a very reasonable price.
