Charming venue.
A beautiful, historic venue with an excellent selection of dishes. Very kind staff and honest prices.

Disorganised and confused but nice people
The address is given as Via Passone 2 but don't go there to check in. The actual check in is further up the main road in the restaurant. Don't try to ring the bell on the gate as they don't answer it! Walk back to the main road and go to the restaurant.
The rooms are very family oriented and really a bit dated and the promised wi-fi barely delivers a snail's pace.
The restaurant (attached) is very good but also very pricey for what you get. They also close without warning you, i.e. they are closed in Wednesday night but no message and if you don't have a car then you are very stuck and very hungry.
Luckily I found a lovely Italian lady who range the local pizza shop and got one delivered for me - otherwise a long hungry night because they can't be bothered telling their guests that the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.

Family visit to Northern Italy
My husband was recommended hotel passone by an Italian friend as it is off the beaten track so we may never have found it. He has stayed many times on business but we chose to use this as a base for our visit round Northern Italy and it did not disappoint! The hotel and restaurant are set in the hills surrounded by beautiful countryside and the ideal destination to relax and unwind. The accommodation is perfect with lots of individual villas round a central courtyard which are suitable for couples or families. Each villa is different and are clean and tastefully decorated and all come with kitchen facilities and separate lounge area. The restaurant next door is beautiful with excellent service, an extensive wine list and delicious food. The staff are welcoming but as this is a place where the Italians choose to stay not all staff speak English. This did not affect us in anyway and we have recommended this hotel to other English friends who also loved their stay. They also have beautiful and well maintained gardens to walk round and enjoy the tranquillity. It is worth a visit to the church at the top of the hill where you will be greeted by astounding views that can not be missed. Everywhere is accessible by car and using the hotel as a base we visited Lake Como, Lake Garda, Milan, Verona and others. A truly memorable trip to this beautiful country.

Took care to make sure we were looked after.
We were very well received at this family owned hotel/villa.
It was "out of season" and having arrived at around 1430 had to make a phone call to be able to enter the gates to the hotel and it's reception. Had to wait about 10 minutes.
The rooms are suitable for self catering if required and were very "Italian" in design with some rooms being at the top of flights of stairs. Had a comfortable stay.
The family owned restaurant adjacent to the hotel was closed on a Tuesday night and since I did not have my own transport the receptionist arranged for her Father to take us. This was another family owned restaurant in the town about 10 minutes away.
The receptionist also managed this restaurant for her father!
The breakfast was very basic but adequate with croissants and coffee and yogurts and plenty of tea or coffee.
For business guests the internet connection although free was very slow and not ideal but is seemed this was recognised by the family and was being addressed.
The hotel is situated in a wine growing region and given it's local is also an ideal base for Lake Como and I would like to come back in the summer with my wife for a holiday here.

Relaxing country retreat
We used this as a base over the weekend of the F1 Italian Grand Prix. It is about 20 mins by car from the circuit and is a complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of Monza. The hotel is in fact a series of studio apartments run by the same family as the adjacent restaurant. Each of the apartments around the courtyard is different and (assuming the one we used to be typical) they have been carefully designed and well executed and are really rather good. Would make a great base for a week's holiday. Continental breakfast is taken in the restaurant and is very good. We also ate in the restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food, wines, service and value are all to be recommended.
