Time-honored, central, view from the rooftop terrace

A time-honored building, literally around the corner from the Spanish Steps, an ideal starting point to explore the Eternal City.
Small but sufficient rooms, continuously renovated; special highlight: the rooftop terrace, with a bar, for an aperitif (closes at 11:00 PM).
We will certainly stay here again.

Central hotel in need of maintenance

We stayed in hotel Cecil for 5 nights with our family of 4. The great thing about the hotel is the location. Very close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the main shopping area. However, our room was very small for 4 people. The airconditioning was so incredibly loud that we could not sleep with it and also not without it as the room gets really hot in July. The shower head was old and not fixed anymore and dropped down on you whilst showering. The hotel has a rooftop bar with overpriced drinks compared to other bars in the area.

Regarding the noise from the air conditioning, we were not aware of this issue during your stay. Very nice hotel. We will return.

Highs and lows for all tastes, impeccable bathroom with bidet, very quiet, extremely abundant breakfast with products of all kinds of very good quality.
Mini fridge and electric kettle in the room.
Upon leaving, we had a very nice chat with Mrs. Rosario.

Wonderful vacation

In May 2026, I went for the umpteenth time to Hotel Cecil. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the very friendly Alex, who once again proved to be up to expectations in every situation. I would also like to mention Giulia, Andrea, and Mrs. Rosaria, who worked hard every day to make my vacation enjoyable, helping me in every way to find all the places I needed without ever losing patience. Thanks to them, my vacation was wonderful. I find Hotel Cecil very beautiful, the rooms are nice and equipped with every comfort, and it is just a few steps from the beautiful Piazza di Spagna. In just a few minutes, the most characteristic places in Rome are reachable. I hope to return as soon as possible. Manuela Statilio.

A really nice hotel in central Rome.

We stayed here for five days at the end of May, 2026. A comfortable, clean, friendly hotel. The staff is multilingual, helpful, and congenial. There is a roof terrace with a nice view of Rome. The only drawback is the rather humdrum breakfast, which you can enliven by asking them to make you a cappuccino or espresso. I would gladly go back again. Good value, and highly recommended.
