Weekend in Rome to celebrate a birthday.

I just stayed at the Milo hotel after years of not returning to Rome. Really excellent location and strategic, very nice and functional rooms with a varied breakfast. I emphasize the kindness and professionalism of Roberto and his entire team.

I stayed here for two nights. Overall, the hotel was not very clean, and the rooms were quite old. To be fair, I was expecting that considering the price, so it wasn't my biggest issue. The location is excellent, only a 3–4 minute walk from the train station.
However, my experience was ruined by the housekeeping staff. On both mornings, after around 8 a.m., they were shouting loudly and making so much noise that it was impossible to sleep. It completely ruined my mornings.
The worst part was that one morning, a housekeeper entered my room without even knocking. She just opened the door and walked in. I was shocked and shouted, and she simply walked out as if nothing had happened. This is completely unacceptable. I could have been changing, sleeping, or in any other private situation. No one should ever enter a guest's room without knocking and waiting for a response.
Overall, I had a very disappointing stay. If you choose this hotel, don't expect much.

Airport conditioning barely works, just takes the edge off slightly. Older building with an elevator that may or may not work from day to day. Close to the train station so that was really nice.

We travelled with our young adult children so stayed in one of the quad rooms (4 single beds). The room was clean and beds were comfortable. It was convenient to Roma Termini 5 min walk. It is in a noisy area, so if you want the windows open be prepared for the noise. There was a simple breakfast served every morning. Lastly staff were friendly and helpful.

I understand the construcción is all but not for it the sheets and covers has to be old too. Staff is not friendly
