Worth the stay

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms and amenities were great. We were in the annex. Convenient location. Hired electric bikes from the hotel. The onsite restaurant was great for breakfast. Had dinner there one night and ate at one of the local authentic restaurants on the other night.

Fabulous property

Amazing place to stay while visiting Naoshima. We stayed in the annex. Large (for Japan standards) spaced villa with 2 bedrooms and large living/lounge area. Italian restaurant next door was very convenient and served great food both for dinner and breakfast. Bikes available for use by patrons. Communal area to enjoy a drink and wind down after a busy day sight seeing. Only negative is that we wished we had stayed longer. Staff were so helpful and went out of their way to help us.

Basic hotel at a convenient location

Simple, small hotel at a quiet, convenient location. We were in the family room which is very large and comfortable. All basic amenities are available. Breakfast is organised at the neighbours: Regalo and is not extensive but ok. The hotel is located close to the museum and art house areas with a bus stop around the corner.

Wright spot for Naoshima stay

Small hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, room 11 was spacious with a balcony. Comfortable beds, compact bathroom with powerful shower.
Breakfast at Regalo restaurant next door good, dinner there was excellent.
Great spot for touring the island- ask the hotel to reserve your electric bikes ahead of time and you can zoom off for the day, returning the bikes there when done.
Buses connect to the port for arrival and departure ferries. There are only two taxis on the island so use them, bikes or your feet!

Why not ?

Small, recent hotel, very poorly soundproofed, far from the city center and providing access to a few museums by bus. Only one snack nearby for dinner: excellent ramen.
Communication with the boss only via the translator. Why not ?
