Charming but a little too old-fashioned in appearance and ways

A lovely, charming B&B but it has its flaws.
The positives: Great location, comfy bed, free parking (not the hotel's but plenty of it) and close to maginificent whale watching.
The flaws: A tiny TV, no coffee machine (there is a kettle and instant coffee, but no milk, on the top floor), a breakfast with no choice and small portions (french toast & bacon day 1, pancakes and bacon day 2) and we nhad no housekeeping on one day with no real apology or offer to put it right.

Thank you for coming to stay. I felt very bad your room got missed as we do provide daily housekeeping and take pride in this fact. I certainly apologized on the phone when you telephoned me that evening to request towels and immediately came to the inn and provided a full set of fresh towels. At the risk of making excuses, my staff was done work for the day, as it was 7PM, and I was in bed with a headache (a fact I was not about to share then, but feel the need to share now) and so did not offer to clean the room, although I did come to provide the towels. We would have gladly provided some milk for tea or coffee, but do not leave any in the kitchen as it just ends up going bad before it gets used. This is why we provide coffee whitener. Hopefully the juice, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, cereal, baked goods and oatmeal on the continental side of things were sufficient to supplement the hot breakfast. We enjoy serving breakfast and, while the portions are not huge, they are what we have found to create the least amount of waste.

Charming but has its flaws

A lovely, charming B&B but just felt a little too old-fashioned.
It has its flaws: A tiny TV, a shower over the bath with double curtains that stuck to your body whichever angle you tried to avoid it, no coffee machine (there is a kettle and instant coffee, but no milk, in a small kitchen on the top floor), a prescriptive breakfast (you have what there is. There is no choice. It's nice but a fairly small portion and not very exciting) and no housekeeping at all on one of our two nights for which we received no real apology.
The positives are a comfy bed, a great location and easy parking, albeit not the hotel's so it could fill up.

Very Nice Country Inn

Great location , Angela and staff are very welcoming and helpful . Rooms are clean and comfortable .
Great value . Will stay there again .

Great Stsy

Fantastic place with incredibly friendly proprietor. Lots of charm. Great breakfast (homemade jam and breads). Lovely !

Okay

We spent one night here on the way to the ferry to St. John. Convenient parking across the street, although passing traffic didn't slow down to let one cross (I use a cane). Liked the early check-in and the discount for cash. Our spacious room had a huge picture window looking out to the harbour; swivel chairs would have made it better. Boardwalk and benches also across the street and only a few minutes walk to town. It would have been nice to have easy access to plugs for our CPAP machines and chargers. And more than two sets of towels. Breakfast was disappointing, especially given all the rave reviews. Not many steps up from the free breakfast one gets at a Hampton Inn, in my view.
