Escape from the big city!
Breathtaking view of the city and water,the breakfasts are delicious and Barbara and Gil were wonderful hosts,Barbara can answer any question you have and steer you to great restaurants.Suite itself is huge,looking out any window provides serenity with the sweeping views.Look forward to returning! Best View in all of Vernon, BC
As other reviewers have stated, Barb and Gil are superb hosts, and my husband and I agree wholeheartedly! The B&B is in an upscale area of Vernon, and there are nearby trails for you to get out and stretch your legs. Guests enjoy an entire floor, not just a bedroom, so it feels like a home away from home. There is a small kitchen with a mini fridge and microwave, tea kettle and coffee maker plus dishes so it is well equipped to make your own meals, if you choose. They also supply coffee and tea, and there was always fruit left on the counter - how thoughtful! There are numerous CDs and DVDs, and books and magazines to keep entertained, that is when you are not enjoying the breathtaking view of Vernon and the gorgeous Okanagan Lake, surrounded by mountains. There is a large deck with comfy chairs and pillows - combine that with the view and a glass of wine (or a coffee or tea) and the moment is nothing short of bliss. There are many ornaments and memorabilia throughout the rooms, but the hosts do not mind if you move them to make room for your own stuff. Many reviewers have said the beds are comfortable, and they are fairly comfortable, but I have a back problem so would prefer a good pillow-top mattress with more support - but that is the only slight negative that is a concern for me and probably not many others. I forgot to mention this to the hosts so I am sorry that they will read it here, but again I emphasize that it is not a significant problem and I would definitely recommend this B&B. My husband and I will return to visit Barb and Gil when we are in the area, and will definitely stay at their B&B. Thanks Barb and Gil for being warm and inviting hosts that made us feel like we were friends and not “just guests”.

restorative retreat
We stayed at Turtle Mountain Inn for 3 nights and wished we had booked for longer. The strengths of this B&B are excellent hosts, comfortable beds, spacious and interesting decor to stimulate all your senses, breakfast is hearty and tasty, the bar area has lots of little help yourself treats. Barbara and Gil give lots of great local direction on where to eat. We felt pampered, well taken care of, and the feast to the eyes is the view out of the panorama of windows, and nooks for sitting outside and enjoying the birds, flowers, sun, the sound of a water feature...all meant to soothe the senses. We are sad to leave...

Superb B&B
We stayed here over Thankgiving for 3 nights. The bed is comfortable, there is lots of room, the breakfasts are delicious and Barbara and Gil are very easy to talk to. The view over the valley and to Okanagan Lake is beautiful and the instant fireplace is quite cosy. We have stayed in many B&Bs over the years and Turtle Mountain Inn ranks among the best.

AMAZING!!!!!!!
A huge thank you to Barbara and Gill for making our stay Turtle Mountain Inn absolutely incredible!! My husband and I had the whole floor of the B&B to ourselves, which has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a HUGE living area with kitchen.
Barbara’s hosting skills are impeccable and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats from which she gave us some great tips for local restaurants etc. And where do I start with the amazing breakfasts that Barbara provided each morning.....she really spoilt us! We left feeling that we’d made two new friends.......
