Отличное место для экономии путешествия

Все было очень даже круто, чисто уютно и комфортно. Месторасположение отличное, рядом все необходимое, находиться при жилом доме. При следующей поезде в Алмате обязательно остановлюсь здесь. Мини хостел оправдал все мои ожидания

Good location, but there are better hostels

I checked out a night early even though I had already paid for the 2nd night.
Location is close to sights and fairly safe at night, but good luck finding the place, which is tucked away in an apartment complex. Nobody seems to work here so checking in takes forever and there's no guidance on where to go, like you would expect at a normal hostel.
People seem to live here long term and the vibe feels like you're trespassing, not like a nice couch surfing experience.
Sheets are dirty and I had to screw in my own bulb to have light in my sleeping area.
There's only one bathroom so there's always a wait, and there isn't always toilet paper.

Good location, comfortable, tricky to find

Location is excellent, not far from the Metro station and near a lot of buses, including #92 which gets you to/from the airport in about an hour. What would be great is if they can update the instructions, as the entrance was quite difficult to find. The owner/receptionist stepped away when I arrived so had to wait a bit before being able to check in.
The bed was comfortable and private, although having an additional outlet would help avoid the decision between charging your phone and having light, and having some hand rails would be really helpful to get to the top bunk.

Art Hostel in Almaty

Boarded N0 92 bus from Almaty airport and after a 45 mins journey alighted at Abay- Seyfullin bus-stop. From the bus -stop it was a short walk to "Art Hostel" situated on the ground floor of a modern skyscraper building society next to a kid's karate training school .A "First World hostel" with state of the art security system akin to some of the hostels i visited in Europe. After checking in was later allotted my bunk bed No 3 in a 8 double bunk bed spacious room.The hostel has a large kitchen cum dining room where guests can cook and store their own food as well as relax watching T.V. Conveniently located with Baikonur Metro station within walking distance from the hostel.Manager was very co-operative and handed me a travel guide map which was extremely useful in discovering the city.

Weird people

when we arrived, nobody was there. we reserved and paid the hostel for all beds, months ago, and verified, but people are staying here nevertheless. even weirder, these strangers seem to live here but dont take any ownership. they keep personal stuff in your lockers, treat everything like its theirs. its vague and dubious and not genuine. we had to leave all our belongings while we couldnt lock the hostel. there are 16 beds and only one shower. its just a sovjet home turned into cramped hostel. good beds but weird place.
