Very nice homestay in Zadar

This wonderful apartments are situated 5-minutes far from the centre of Zadar. In that area you have a real change to find a free parking.
The owners are extremely nice and helpful and live in the very same building.
Our apartment was big, clean and completely renewed.
I recommend!!!

Homely feel

We arrived just after midnight and the owners (marina & her husband) were very welcoming and friendly (it was hugs all round). They showed us round the apartment which was clean, spacious with all the utilities & facilities we needed. We were pretty hungry so marina brought us up some yogurt, bread eggs and milk. The bed was comfy and the shower was great. If you're stopping for a few nights it's the perfect place to collect your thoughts in comfort. The hosts make you feel like it's a home from home. It's close to the tourist attractions and a great place to stay for two, three or four. I would highly recommend for a family, group of friends or couples.

An excellent value for money

The largest apartment on this trip - one bedroom with terrace and a sea view (538 ft²). This apartment is well equipped for a longer stay. It has a good size kitchen, AC in the living room, free WiFi, a washing machine in a bathroom, a drying rack, and plenty of towels. Good parking space. The location is only 5 km from the Old part of Zadar in a quiet residential neighborhood. The owners provided the map and directions and recommendations for parking near the old town. When I booked Apartments Eja, owners emailed me local directions to the apartment. Even though I had printed directions, we followed our GPS, and made a number of unnecessary turns on the narrow streets in the dark (GPS wasn’t aware of a recently-completed street).
The only negative for us was the bad/changing water pressure and water temperature in the shower. The owners were very nice and extremely helpful, however they spoke little English, and could not explain directions to use the washing machine well.
There is an excellent Italian restaurant ‘Mamma Mia’ (Put Dikla 54) approximately 1 km walk from the apartment. Green gnocchi were best of the best. We walked from the apartment to the restaurant and back, but there were no sidewalks on some parts.

Friendly villa

Also inhabit by the owners, who are extremely helpful and friendly. We parked in the park of the villa but it is easy to park on the street. The villa is on the outskirts of Zadar, on a street that gps still does not recognize. You always need to drive into town, takes about 10mn.
We were in an apartment on the first floor, excellent.
Good living room and good bedroom, independent kitchen ,very well equipped, with microwave, toaster, besides the normal things, like fridge, etc, etc.
Fabulous bathroom, huge, with bathtub, bidet, washing machine, hairdryer. Lots of good towels.
There are mini markets and restaurants in a short distance and a large supermarket a little higher, already implies to drive.
For me the only problem is that almost always need to use the car.

Great stay

I received a welcoming cup of coffee on arrival in the afternoon heat. The owners speak good German and French but not so much English. Since i am happy with German this was not a problem.
The apartment was spacious and spotless with adequate cooking facilities. The town is 10 minutes drive away.
Zadar is lovely and one evening was really not enough. I could have used the afternoon as well but was exhausted from the July heat.
Would stay here again on the next trip
