Lovely traditional Riad in Medina
Beautiful interior decor in traditional style set around a courtyard.
Only 6 rooms and it has a rooftop terrace and plunge pool in the courtyard.
Access to the Riad is through a maze of lanes in the medina on foot with the nearest vehicle drop off in Bab Doukhala area.
Make a note of landmarks as these lanes aren’t named and it would be easy to get lost. Only a 5-7 minute walk from drop off - as long as you know where you’re going!
Breakfast is traditional Moroccan and served in the courtyard.
Staff are very friendly and helpful - young guy took us to taxi meet place with our cases when we left.
Superior double room - double bed with single/day bed/seating.
Free WiFi and air conditioning. Hairdryer.
Not in room : bottled water, tea/coffee facilities but there was a kettle and coffee pod machine! No fridge.

Amazing RIAD
Stay of 5 nights in this beautiful Riad. It is perfect for quiet rest after excursions. It is located in the old Medina district, authentic, do not be surprised by the alleys that lead to this peaceful place. Yes, to get there we do not pass old alleys and in bad condition, but this is also Marrakech, it must be integrated. The staff is just amazing. A huge thank you to Saida the most adorable of housewives, to Fatima for her just excellent cuisine, to Mohamed for his discretion certainly but effective and finally what to say about Said , Mr Said, always attentive for our well-being and that of our 12 year old son. Available (but who accompanies you to the taxi at 4am ... Said of course) . It is natural for him, in his heart he made our stay sunny because we were there the week of rains and hail. If you are looking for an authentic place and hear the call of prayer wake you up and move you, this is the perfect place in Marrakech. An amazing service again. What to say...Thank you. Ah if you sleep very well in these nice rooms and the spaces are very nice and very clean. The impeccable bedding. Thanks. Thank you.

Riad Sable Chaud is an oasis
Riad Sable Chaud was the perfect oasis of calm after a day of exploring busy Marrakech.
Said with his witty charm looked after us so well, and he even walked us to meet our taxi for the airport this morning.
Fatima cooked a variety of the most delicious three course meals so we ate there every evening.
Saida kept the Riad and our room meticulously clean and tidy.
Such lovely people, we felt really sad to leave.
The ONLY drawback of the Riad is it's location which is within a warren of streets not accessible by car. You have to be on constant guard for motorbikes though which was quite stressful at times (this is the same everywhere in Marrakech). Many of the buildings in the riad neighborhood are demolished shells following the earthquake in 2023. Unfortunately, people are using these sites to dump their household waste making walking the route to and from the riad a little unpleasant. We kind of got used to the route around the neighbourhood, the motorbikes and the rubbish but must confess it was a massive shock and blew our minds when we first arrived!

Best place to stay in Marrakesh
We had the best stay ever, Sahid and all staff were so friendly and most welcoming. Best authentic breakfast served in a beautiful courtyard. Lovely sunny rooftop terrace, perfect for morning relaxation. We will be back. Thank you!

Quiet , charming Riad in a quiet part of the Medina
Tucked away in a quiet part of the Medina this Riad is very clean and staffed by friendly and helpful local people . Don’t be put off by the location as you can easily reach the key sights of the medina and it’s just a few minutes walk from Bab Dukkala … a good meeting point for drivers to take you further afield or to the airport . The nearby alleyways are lit and safe with lovely , very polite kids playing football after school . A generous breakfast with a variety of fresh bread , orange juice , fruit and omelette. Prepared and served at your table in the courtyard . The house maid was an absolute star , so kind and very thorough . We loved her.
