Cozy stay at Casa Akbal

My father and I stayed at this cute family-run BnB and we had a great time!! Before booking I was worried that it was too far from the downtown, but the location was a short walk to the downtown, close to the ADO bus station, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. Juan and his family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, from delicious home cooked breakfasts, to great recommendations of local restaurants and activities (he knows the best cenotes). The pool was great to relax in, the air conditioning was crisp, and the beds were made every day. We would 100% come back and stay again!!

Very quiet and comfortable!

We only stayed one night after our flight into Merida, arriving around 10:00 pm. Our host was very warm and welcoming. The premises were clean and inviting and we slept very soundly that night. I would love to stay longer next time as it was a very cute spot and the neighbourhood was lovely with some really nice restaurants within walking distance.

Incredible

Casa Akbal is the home of a Mexican couple, very welcoming, everything very clean and cozy. Our stay in that place was incredible. Breakfast is incredible, fruit with granola and yogurt and then different egg preparations with a varied accompaniment. We recommend it with closed eyes.

Very nice, central and clean place

It is a super nice place with a pool, which is very appreciated in the heat of Mérida. It's in the center. Maru and Juan are super friendly and help you with any questions you may have. It is very well located, the room is very clean. Breakfast is rich: eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola and coffee. If I come back I will surely stay there.

Wonderful Stay 11 Days !

We can’t express how much Juan and LuLu mean to us !! Their hospitality is above and beyond!! The rooms, breakfast and pool is amazing!! Loved the location and the restaurant around the corner down the street. Can’t say enough about the cleanliness and the soft bed. Sorry didn’t get to tell Keko bye!
