This was our third trip int Merida. Three experiences over 5 years. All with the Gran Hotel. Great Location, friendly and helpful staff. We will b back.

You are staying in a time capsule. Be open minded to the noises, the age of the building and the surrounding area. I'm a city girl so the Starbucks next to the lobby was my to go to every morning. Many vendors outside and I liked purchasing from them. Eat gorditas gordo down the street for good affordable local food. Delish! Only thing...have mosquito repellent on you and in your room. They have a way of getting in because the central part of the hotel is open to the elements.

Location was key. Close to the cathedral. The room was nice and clean. It had antique furniture that reminded of another time. The staff was very polite and attentive.

Is Hunted the Fan started moving very soft at 3:00 and stop and wait like 40 and again was weird 🤔 😐

Overall the stay was great with A/C and amenities. However, only negative piece was that more maintenance is needed in my particular room. There was a loose tile and the bathroom door did not have a lock (expected as it is a colinial era house)
