Very good quality-price option

This hotel saved us!!
We went to a conference in Merida and booked into the holiday inn hotel on Ave Colon
When we arrived they canceled our reservation because they justified that they were doing a repair in an area of the hotel so the same moment we arrived at the hotel they did not give us any solution because we entered the Expeditia application and found the hotel El Marqués and we They accepted at that very moment and it gave us great peace of mind that we were a few blocks from the conference we went to.
We liked the hotel because it solved the problem of having a place to stay, but it has a large area of opportunity to improve

2 worn pillows
3 comforters with grease stains
4 very small tv
5 very noisy rooms
6 they turned off the air every day
But on the positive it weighs more
1 the staff was very friendly and solved what they were dealing with.

Hotel urgently needs a renovation. Somehow they only give you the advertised rates if paying with cash, which is odd (sounds like the want to avoid taxes, as it is ilegal to charge more when paying with card). They told me my room was quiet but heard lots of noise between 10pm and 1am. I would not stay there again.
