Amazing experience
We spent four nights at this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The welcome was warm and the service throughout our stay was attentive and friendly.
Our room, located on the top floor, was beautiful. It had a lovely bathtub, a large balcony and an amazing view. Everything was spotless and very tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is also stunning, with a very natural atmosphere, lots of plants and a peaceful ambiance that makes you feel relaxed right away.
We also enjoyed several meals and breakfasts at the hotel, and everything was delicious. The quality of the food, the service and the kindness of the staff really made the experience even better.
The swimming pool is also beautiful and we loved spending time there during our stay.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very poor attitude
The rudeness of the staff at the reception they do not know how to talk or value business customers with their attitude when you are trying to make a point on something which needs to be corrected they even charged me 3usd to refill water for small bottles when hotels do provide drinking water they have used they own hotel water to refill the small bottles then charged me for it without having any price at the room when ask the reason why they charge they informed it's the hotel policy they do not any interpersonal skills low standards of poor communication even the security guards follow you from behind when you are parking your car at the bay underground when i ask why they follow they inform me for safety reasons never had such a low level of poor service the breakfast it's not international breakfast it's a local meat breakfast they not do not inform you on the website what they provide for breakfast there is no sauna or steam room for this standard of a hotel and the price they provide 2 tiny cap shampoo not having shower gel in the room once again hotels should have shower gel when they do not i am not making any of these remarks wronge this is point of view how this hotel runs i believe they will do anything who is visiting out from the country or a foreigner just to scam has i never been to a hotel where they charge you for refilling water from the hotel i can understand if they are providing water bottles and sealed where they have to pay to provide to guest that's understandable but they are using they own water from the hotel to refill then charging you seven times double the price that's a scam i do not rate this hotel either a four star they need international training has they to not know how to talk to customers i had no choice to stay there due to the private hospital being close to the hotel other then that it was not worth staying i notice after checking there are much better hotels then this which they even have sauna when this hotel has no facilities of the hotel they have listed i rate this hotel has two star with the poor level of attitude from majority of the staff at the receptionist they marked their rooms with different standards but after seeing them their all look the same apart from having to single beds connected together making it has a double room when it's rarely not a double bed only the matter is double not the bed they try to overcharge you they only have two option for fruits when the country produce mangoes they have not had any mangoes since staying there I usually do not do reviews but i had to express that i have been scammed from them when the majority of people living in crisis out from the hotel it's unacceptable they will in any means will try to scam you

Elegance, comfort and ease
Truly warm and generous service at a lovely boutique hotel. The restaurant is an oasis from the big city. The owner is a delight. Highly recommend!

A Home Away from Home in Kathmandu
Uma Residence & Suites felt more like a warm home than a resort. Beautiful setting, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. Special thanks to MsTenzin for her warmth and care, which made my stay truly memorable.

Uma Residence & Suites : A Hidden Jewel
Uma Residence & Suites , had an excellent stay during my visit in November 2025, their location, not too far from the city, so easy to get around. The minute you walk in, there is the spacious garden, with some much greenery and feel of country yet in the city. If you want to get away from the noise, hustle and bustle of the city, this is the ultimate place to wind down. Let me talk about the rooms, our luxurious suite on the 3rd floor with the beautiful views of the mountains, spacious with king size bed, spotless. The bathrooms with all modern , luxurious, relaxing spaces. The staffs are so attentive and goes above and beyond with our stay. They made us feel at home. Their service is exceptional and food was delicious. i can't wait to come back and would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Nepal.
