Absolutely loved our stay at EcoScapes. The staff were welcoming and friendly, food in the cafe was delicious and the surroundings are stunning. Highly recommend!

I stayed here after tramping of routeburn track.
I was so exthousted after walking over 15km under the sun, the staff kindly welcomed us.
Everything I experienced here was so beautiful and comforting.
Fortunatly, the weather was fine so we could view the exquisit view of the mountains and lake.
The design of room was so streamline and was completely cleaned.
Their service was awesome, all staff was gentle.
I'm sure I will never forget this precious experience.
The dinner which should be booked was also nice.
That was made by natural ingrediant and taste so gentle for us.
There are nothing something special,but there are nature as it is.
I wish I stay here again.

Stay somewhere else

This place was very disappointing. First of all, it says it is in Glenorchy but it is 30 minutes away (meaning also 30 min from anywhere to eat). There is a restaurant on property but you have to reserve dinner a day in advance for $90, can only eat at 6pm and you have no choice in what you eat (chef’s choice). The property is very run down looking, they are not managing the landscaping at all and facilities fit the camping side of things, not a nice hotel fitting of the price we paid. It was not clear where to even go for check in. The internet didn’t work and there was no cell coverage. They advertise these cool projectors in the rooms but they wouldn’t play anything since they don’t have cable and only work off the internet. We needed to get a hold of our kids because we had hiked 20 miles that day but couldn’t connect. When I mentioned the TV/internet to the staff, the response was “that’s just how it is in the country here.” No apology. Again, ok, if you market yourself that way but that was very different than the description I read. The bathroom is tiny and there is no place to put your stuff. There is also no drinking water in the room. View is pretty but you need to close the windows at all times if you want any privacy at all since everyone can see right into your room and there is a road in front of the windows.

Understand What It Is First

This place was suggested by our travel agent and we arrived knowing nothing about the facility. Since we aren't outdoor people, upon arrival we felt out of place especially since this put us much farther from the airport where we were heading next, and all activities were things that we don't really like to do. However, despite all of that the area is incredibly beautiful, the facility was top notch, and the employees there were nothing short of terrific. The food was excellent (although pricey) and the atmosphere with the scenery and background music made for a very enjoyable stay, despite our concerns upon arrival. I would definitely educate myself about the desolate nature of the place and lack of other eating options before arriving. That said, for beauty, nice people, good food and a pleasant atmosphere, it would be hard to beat EcoScapes.
