What a view!

We spend a night glamping at Botnen Camping in the beginning of Sognefjorden. Great comfort. Amazing views all around. Very romantic too!
You have a proper bed, heating and confortable chairs and table - indeed a glamourous way to camp.
Very helpfull hosts. You can buy a simple meal and coffee - or you have the kitchen nearby.
But first and foremost go there for the views!

The place is great in nice weather with the sea, but here I do not come back voluntarily!

I was on a trip alone with my dog, thought this would be a nice place to rent a cabin for one night, but ended up traveling home after only 2.5 hours in the cabin..
The lady who met me (and the others who checked in at the same time) at the front desk was very unpleasant in the tone. We were several who experienced her as irritable and stressed. It was just such a negative energy I (we) were faced with, that the whole experience was simply destroyed. I bothered to go up to the reception to ask about things and did not dare to say that the light bulbs had turned on absolutely all the lights in the living room / kitchen in the cabin, precisely because I could not be met with a sour and crisp tone again.
When returning the keys to the cabin in the reception I also got with me that they had assigned guests / customers tent space and paid for it, to find out that there might not be room for them anyway.
I paid for hot water in the shower before I then got notified of “can not guarantee that there will be hot water in the shower so”
The place is so great in nice weather with the sea, but here I do not come back voluntarily!

Restful, fantastic place but still work to be done

The campsite has a beautiful view of the Sognefjord. It is also very quiet. Sanitary and kitchens are neat and cared for. Reception is business. You can pick your own spot. Investment is still being made in refreshing, e.g. building a fence around the sauna. What you don’t expect from such a beautiful place is that it doesn’t get cleaned up every day (e.g. towels that campers left behind, barbecues that have been used before have been left standing, garbage accumulates and smells). A large trash can next to a kitchen and showers is also, because of the smell, best avoided.

Great glamping!

Nice location at the fjord
Nice staff
Had some home-made meals
Clean toilet and shower
OK kitchen
Microwave
Three canvass tent
Good beds
Heating and Nice atmosphere in the canvass
Would come back to this place!

Calm and beautiful (English/German)

Very calm and beautiful, 10km away from the E39 and at a beautiful coast road, the Botnen Camping has everything from tents, caravans to cabins.
You can rent a boat, go fishing, swimming, hiking or just relax on hilly fields with a nice view over the Sognefjorden. Many small whales like porpoises travel through here.
Deutsch:
Ruhig, szenisch, 10km weg von der E39 und entlang einer schönen Küstenstrasse liegt der Botnen Camping. Zeltplätze, Stellplätze für Camper/Wohnwagen und oder Hütten, hier ist für jeden was dabei, und dabei stehehn die Hütten nicht in Reih und Glied. Man kann hier angeln, Boot mieten, wandern, schwimmen oder relaxen, und es ziehen auch regelmäßig Schweinswale durch.
