Die Linde

Die Linde ist ein traditionelles 4-Sterne-Hotel mit 100-jähriger Geschichte in Höchst in Vorarlberg, nahe dem Rheindelta, dem Bodensee und der Schweizer Grenze. Das zentral und dennoch ruhig gelegene Hotel bietet neu renovierte Nichtraucherzimmer im Landhausstil mit kostenfreiem LAN-Zugang. Zimmer mit Balkon sind auf Anfrage möglich. Die hervorragende Küche des Hotelrestaurants ist weithin bekannt. In den Sommermonaten können Sie auch auf der Gartenterrasse speisen. Die Linde bietet kostenfreie Parkplätze und Abstellplätze für Fahrräder und Motorräder. Der Bodenseeradweg führt direkt durch Höchst.

Perfect place to stop on a cycling tour - or any other time

Everything you need when on a cycle tour - secure bike storage, clean and comfortable room, great shower, hearty food, great breakfast and welcoming staff. To be honest, it would be a great place to stay however you were travelling.
I have read a few reviews which are critical of the service at Die Linde but this was not our experience at all. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. One delightful moment at dinner was when the waitress spoke to my wife (who is German) in English and to me (Irish) in German which we all found hilarious!

Caution when booking early

Booked in Jan a double room standard for the price of 175 € night. 12.8.-15.8. Upon arrival Zi in the DG at 40' heat without climate. Request for rooms on other floor was not fulfilled. (Sold out) The current DZ price was 140 €. Supposedly special price because tour group had cancelled. No accommodation at the price; conclusion: 3 nights in heat under the roof at a higher price.
For the 3rd and probably last time in this hotel.

Terrible food

Polite staff, good breakfast and clean rooms. Completely awful dinner and far too expensive for quality.

Good stay at traditional hotel

We enjoyed our one-night stay at the Linde. We had a spacious room on the third floor with a seating area and balcony. It was traditionally fitted out with wooden furniture - plenty of hanging and shelving space. The double bed was made up of two single mattresses which is not our favourite set up but it was comfy nonetheless! The bathroom was slightly on the small side as it was in the roof eaves - however the shower was good. The dinner and breakfast were also tasty and the staff all pleasant.

Excellent Staff Quality

I loved the place, everyone was pretty polite and knew their job well. The surroundings were clean. Covid protocols were taken. The food was tasty, the staff serving was very professional. If I were the boss I'd give the serving staff a raise.
I'd 100% recommend anyone look for a hotel in this area/city.
