Hostel ran by a great guy

Booked this hostel on a whim just driving by, and upon entering and speaking to the owner, Leon, and chatting as he showed the rooms we decided to stay for 2 nights. He is a lovely man who was super helpful to us and even gave us some salt/spices one night when we were cooking in the common kitchen, so we wouldn't have to go buy any. The room was nice with two beds and a good size tv. There was no hot water in our room which was contrary to what was advertised outside but we were sunburned anyways so we didn't mind. The location is right next to the beach too which was awesome but it is about 30 min to walk into town. He also has a really generous checkout time so if you want to go to the beach on your last morning you can come back and rinse off before you leave town. Would definitely recommend!

good and cheap

very correct for the price, a bit far from the center (half an hour walking), but in a quiet area, rooms are well furnished with a fridge and a shared kitchen if you cook your food. there is private parking and the staff is kind.
so it is a good budget hostel.

Great hostel with the most woderful and kindhearted host we've met in panama!!!

Our room as well as the bathroom was very clean with AC, the kitchen provides everything necessary. The hostel is close to the beach but about 20min away from the main street in Santa Catalina. But in our opinion it was better to be close to the beach than to the main street. Our highlight was the owner Léon!! He was so wonderful, helpful and generous!!! He also provides bikes for free which you can take to ride to the supermarket or somewhere else.
I can highly recommend this hostel!

Lovely family

Me and my friend stayed there for 4 nights on our stay in Santa Catalina !! The rooms are lovely and clean ,have aircon and tele with cable TV and private bathroom.
There's a lovely dining area downstairs with communal kitchen and plenty of hammocks everywhere for maximum relax time !!!
But what made our stay there even more pleasant was the owner and his wife who were really great people and made us feel really welcome. He also let us ride into the town with him when we needed to go to the supermarket and was even kind enough to nip us to the bus stop the morning we left at half past seven in the morning !!
Thanks sooo much for making our stay in Santa Catalina so enjoyable we actually went back for my birthday 2 weeks later to enjoy the laid back surf vibe and of course the blazing hot sun !!
Definitely recommend !!!

I love this place!

I have been staying in several places in Sta Catalina but in this one the owner and his family treat you really well, there is the chance to stay in one of the new rooms or camp in the yard (very economic option and they even give you the tend and stuffs) Is just few meters from the beach, simple and enjoyable 100%
