Excellent location
Very nice hotel aesthetically, facing the sea, great service, it is possible to have breakfast and on the terrace there are tables and chairs where you can eat independently. It is very close to the pprto where ferries leave for Panglao

It could be worst
What was OK:
It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.. The location is ok. They organize whale shark watching experience and the driver can pick you up at the hotel. The room was ok.
Disliked:
It was difficult to get by in with the receptionist as her English was poor.
The bathroom was dirty but the spiders in the shower and the cockroach on the floor didn't mind... The first thing after check-in was a cockroach hunt.
There was no water in the room in the early morning just before about trip to see whale sharks so we were not able to take a shower :(

Rude Staff
I can't recommend this place at all. The staffs are rude especially the lady at the check in counter at night. The water stopped working on the 2nd day we were there, and intermittent even until the next day. When the toilet stopped working, the rude lady got annoyed cause I was making a fuss for them to fix our toilet, even blaming me for not reporting it earlier when the plumber was there. Told her I was asleep, and since they have water issues, I'm not even certain if they already fixed it since they don't give updates at all. All in all, I think their staff needs to undergo training on customer relations.
The room we stayed at was nice but dated, and can get noisy at night especially when the cars and buses passed by. Pool was nice, but the beach in front of the resort is mossy and muddy so not really ideal to take a dip.

Great!!
We only stayed one night as unfortunately the property was full. We had a nice comfortable room with an amazing view of the sea. Bed was comfortable, good air con and very clean bathroom. The lady owner was extremely helpful and made us feel right at home. The pool was beautiful and you had a lot of different areas you could just lounge around. Sitting on the rocking chairs over looking the water having a nice drink was just beautiful. Also you can catch a local bus from Cebu City which will stop right out the front so there’s no problem worrying about carting your luggage to far. You can also organise tours through them. Great spot.

Cheap but not so cheerful
We decided to leave after just one night due to our poor experience at Germaroze. The hotel is very dated and lacks any evidence of management that want to invest time or money into the business. Staff we encountered were borderline rude and uninterested in their guests. I would not recommend staying at Germaroze for the following reasons:
- The property is in close proximity to the main circular road of the island. Heavy traffic continues through the night, with noise and vibrations felt clearly within the room.
- During the night we experienced an electricity blackout which although was not the fault of the hotel, resulted in a rather unpleasant experience. During the blackout, a bright emergency light turns on in the bedroom which you cannot turn off, the hotels firealarm and creepy telephone would ring intermittently waking guests up and the aircon turns off making the room exceedingly warm. It is worth noting that the hotel does not have a back up generator to restore power.
- The shared toilet is small, unclean, smelly and only one of the shower heads works.
- The aircon within the room is extremely noisy (when it works).
- The WiFi if painfully slow to the point that it is unusable.
