Pizza and Carbona is a must try!

We tried this because it was reviewed as one of the best must try resto in Sta.Fe Bantayan Island.
The place was good and cozy. You can definitely chill and relax while enjoying your food here.
We ordered their famous pizza, carbona and calamarie. Their carbonara serving was very creammmmy, yummy and generous in serving! (Good For Sharing!). We also ordered their vanilla and coffee share. And for desert we ordered banana split.
We celebrate my hubby’s birthday here. And it is really worth it! We love their food and service.
You can try it for yourself guys! ❤️❤️❤️

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend
Our stay at CouCou Bar Hotel Restaurant in Santa Fe was unfortunately a very negative experience from start to finish.
Check-in Experience:
Upon arrival, we received no assistance with our luggage. Despite at least five staff members standing around with nothing to do, none offered help or even a greeting. This left a poor first impression.
Room Conditions:
We had booked two rooms.
The first room was passable, though the bathroom had a leak and visible mold on the ceiling.
The second room was unacceptable: it smelled strongly of sewage, had leaks under the toilet, cobwebs, and insects crawling everywhere—including cockroaches along the outside walls. The water heater looked like it dated back to the 70s and seemed barely functional.
After complaining, we were moved to a better room. While this new room was cleaner and without leaks, the inconsistency in room quality was striking. Every room has different amenities—some have smart TVs, others have tiny dummy ones, and not all have basic furniture like dressers or nightstands, so we had to charge our phones on the floor. The new room also had a power outlet right next to the shower heater. This isn't normally a problem, but the shower heater is at shower head level, and the socket was not attached to the wall and had gaps. I had to close it myself as much as I could.
Room Service:
One of the worst experiences was with room service. I ordered Chili Con Carne, and they added a 10% service charge to deliver it about 12 steps away to our terrace—which was already a bit much, however I was starving. I was told it would take 25–30 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, my wife followed up and was told “5 more minutes.” Another 30 minutes later, I asked again and got the same response. When I pushed back, the staff member panicked and admitted the cook had taken the wrong "box"—apparently the food had been pre-cooked three days ago and stored in containers for reheating. In this case the cook took the "Bolognaise" box instead of the "Chili Con Carne" box.
I was appalled. When the food finally came, it was clearly a sloppy mix of bolognese sauce with some beans thrown in. It was disgusting. After this, I chose not to give CouCou any more of my business during our stay, and we dined elsewhere for the rest of the week. The lack of apologies and accountability is unprofessional. This happened Tuesday, our second day out of five.
Noise and Safety Concerns:
To make matters worse, one night around 1 AM, a couple staying in one of the nearby rooms got into a loud argument and repeatedly slammed their door. This went on for quite a while and disturbed our sleep even further. Despite there being a guard on duty, no action was taken to address the situation or restore peace. It added to the overall feeling of neglect and lack of responsibility from the hotel staff.
Housekeeping and Staff Behavior:
There was no daily cleaning despite signs indicating this would happen. We handed in our keys expecting housekeeping to clean, replace towels, and make the beds. Nothing was done until Thursday—conveniently when the owner was present—at which point the staff suddenly became more active.
Throughout the stay, we were met with cold stares and, at times, even mocking behavior from the staff. No greetings, no apologies, just laughter behind our backs.
Noise Issues:
There’s also a nightclub at the back called Nami. If you’re a light sleeper, be warned: loud bass-heavy music plays every night until 3 AM—even on weekdays. Sleeping here was nearly impossible.
Final Verdict:
This was one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I’ve ever had. Poor service, unclean and inconsistent rooms, food that borders on unsafe, and a complete lack of professionalism from staff. Avoid this place if you value cleanliness, rest, or respect as a guest. We stayed with a baby, just imagine what mold and loud music does to an infant's sleep and ours. We left unrested to another hotel and did not extend.

Worst experience in my 35 years in the Philippines. AVOID THIS PLACE..

One of the worst experiences I had in 35 years of traveling in the Philippines. The whole place is a disaster, with lousy staff who don't hesitate to lie to a person's face.. The hotel has problems with the sewer, so the rooms stink and even in the restaurant there is a dust of sewer smell when you eat. Quite frankly disgusting.. Lazy waitresses who ignore the guests and prefer to stand and talk to each other at the bar.. One night I ordered a bottle of wine and made it clear with the waitress that I will not drink the whole thing but that they would keep half for the next day .. When we arrived in the evening the next day there was no bottle.. And they all deny having done anything wrong. Sorry sir that's what I got. I paid the night before directly to the cashier and also told her that I had half the bottle left for tomorrow. Ok, she said and communicated something to the waitress about the wine.. The next day she lies to my face and says I didn't say anything about the wine. There are no words how I feel about people like these.. So with all that said, I will avoid this place forever. Those of you who want to live in a room with a sewer smell and eat lousy food in a restaurant with the same smell as in the room and with terrible staff, then you should stay at Coucou Restaurant and Hotel.
An addition to my review is that the supervisor/cashier did offer me a new bottle of wine and at the same time admit that she make wrong last night.. That was after we canceled our order and loudly left the restaurant and told them what we think about this place. Unfortunately we had to stay one more night in the smelly room because we paid in advance and didn't want to move because a tired 3y kid.

Not Satisfied

We stayed here at CouCou Restaurant/Bar and Hotel for 1 week. They have a very nice restaurant that is facing the road or the Main Street in Sta. Fe downtown. It is a walking distance to the Sugar beach. The restaurant is very nice to hang out and eat. Their food is ok but nothing special. We like the Long Island iced tea. The staff in the restaurant are not the friendliest. They are not attentive and doesn’t pay attention if the customers need anything. They are just in a corner talking to each other. The room is very basic. One downside is that, there are many mosquitoes near the door of the room that you have to close your door quickly to keep the mosquitoes from coming in. Overall not my favorite hotel.

Food

Generous portions for the most part. Reasonable prices and the location is great. The ambiance is good and the kubos are lovely. The only downside is the flies. You guys really need to get rid of those meddling and annoying flies.
