Centrally-located hostel

Privacy curtains with personal outlet and reading light are becoming quite standard these days, and much-appreciated and this hostel had them (at least in the 6-bedded dorm room). Rooms are pretty large and the hostel is right in the heart of the Old Town. ATMS, restaurants, coffee shops and super (or mini) markets are all within a few minute's walk from the front door. Very convenient. Staff was amiable, WIFi worked well and the kitchen was just large enough to get some basic cooking done.
Hostel is an apartment one flight up from ground level so there are stairs to climb in case anyone needs to be aware of that ahead of time. Take along the address as otherwise there is only a small sign for the hostel next to the doorbell.

Could be so much better

The hostel is located in the middle of the center which is great but too loud at night. Furthermore kitchen, dorms and bathroom is not clean. There is a specific smell. They really need to clean up and wash everything properly.
Kitchen is small with one little table. That's and the entree is the common area.
Lockers in the dorm available.
The hostel is located in an old building which is pretty cool but it's an old building. You need to work on that and on the hostel. The couple who runs the hostel is young and nice.
I have been to so many hostels, eighter I'm getting too old for hostels or this one really needs a make over. For sure they need a professional cleaning.
All in all, for one night ok...

BOOKED THEN REFUSED

We booked 2 beds via hostelworld and were told to get out on arrival. We turned up at 18.00pm (it said that check in was from 14.00 and the reception was open 9.00-24.00) and when we got there we rang to be let in, only to be shouted out on the phone, told there is no booking, no beds and the reception closed at 15.00pm and that we need to get out immediately.
We booked at Freeborn hostel down the road which was cheaper, really friendly and our favourite hostel in europe so far, go there instead!! Someone there told us that they have been closed but haven't stopped taking bookings?!
Hoping to get the deposit back, hostelworld won't let me give a review for some reason..

Excellent location for sightseeing

We (3 girls) stayed here for 2 nights and were lucky to have the girls room of 4 all to ourselves. The bed we're really comfy and the room was decent sized. Our only critisms was the fact that we had to go our onto the stairwell and enter the front door of the hostel to go to the toilet because this room was not quite connected to the main hostel. Also the locks were tempramental, not always unlocking. The location was great and we managed to see all the sights, also it was an easy walk for lots of places to eat and the train station.

Exceptional location, comfy beds and that's about it.

it's a rather small hostel, centrally located and literally a few steps away from Victoriei square. You really need to look hard to find the right entry door, since there are no signs for it on the street. The first and only flight of stairs to get to the Hostel doesn't look very promising, but once you actually enter the place everything is fine. The common areas are pretty small, so is the kitchen. Beds are large and very comfy. Best thing about the place is the heated floor system. The hosts don't seem to hang around much..i saw them at arrival, paid them and never seen them again. I'd recommend it for a short stay.
