Very quiet and yet centrally located!

I had the pleasure of spending three days this week at the beautiful Hotel Schweizerhof in Davos, which is very centrally located on the promenade and yet very quiet.
The hotel is beautifully designed, with great seating areas everywhere, and the restaurant, breakfast room, terrace, and spa invite you to visit. The rooms are also very nicely furnished with a lot of wood and have a lovely balcony that invites relaxation.
Staff in all areas are also very friendly and helpful!
I would gladly come back!

Beautiful

A hotel with particularly spacious, impressive rooms. Each room has its charm. A feel-good oasis! Excellent meals, diverse breakfast buffet, friendly staff. We stayed in a large, beautiful room, functionally furnished, comfortable, and clean. Highly recommended.

Service is not nearly appropriate to the price level

CHF 620/night x 5 days booked over New Year's Eve at Hotel Morosani - and no willingness to service. Bed in junior suite very uncomfortable and hard. Despite immediate request no room change, (there were available on the website) instead multiple comforting. The reception staff were very polite, but the boss was never willing to talk. At check out everything was succinctly dismissed as "subjective sensation". No reduction or credit, no accommodation whatsoever - despite years of loyalty and direct booking.
This behaviour is not nearly commensurate with price levels.
Since there was also no reaction to my review "how was it at our hotel", it seems appropriate to share this.

The Morosani is an excellent choice while visiting Davos.

The Morosani Hotel in Davos is an excellent hotel in the heart of Davos. My husband and I traveled to Davos for a business trip and recently stayed at the Morosani in a suite. The hotel accommodations were very comfortable and decent sized for a European hotel offering. The room had a small living room area, 2 closets, a coffee station, a mini fridge, tea kettle, place to keep wet boots, a king size bed, bathroom with tub and walk in shower, an even a balcony with views of the mountains. The staff at the Morosani is exceptional. The girls at the front desk are super friendly, always giving warm greetings and helpful advice. The breakfast buffet has a large offering with Omelettes, fresh breads and pastries, and even a juice maker. The location of the Morosani is very conveniently located near ski lifts as well as all the shops in the town. You can walk to restaurants, cafes, ski shops and grocery stores within minutes. Also there is a ski rental shop located next door with access right from the lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, skiing, or business trips. We would definitely visit again while traveling to Davos.

Central location but not idyllic overall

Check-in was a bit complicated, with ID control and credit card deposit payment. The room was quaintly beautifully designed and the balcony quite large. The morning meal was unfortunately not a buffet due to the few guests (a sensible decision!), but you were allowed to order from a menu as you please and especially thanks to the wonderful Graubünden omelette the breakfast was still very good. The style of the breakfast room, in my opinion, would have been better suited to an American steakhouse. There are some great pictures of Alois Carigiet in the hotel. The spa was varied, but it was also dark at the same time, you feel like you are in a basement. You could work on the Mood: For example, if you put candles up, you should light them. The location of the hotel in the middle of the village is practically but rather idyllic. Unfortunately, the Davos guest card cannot keep up with other guest cards from Graubünden: There were no free offers apart from public transport, although the tourist tax is no cheaper at 5.90 Fr. Arosa or St. Moritz, for example, do this better. There would be many interesting offers such as whisky tastings or wakeboarding. But these courses often take place only very irregularly (often not even weekly) and often last very short, so they are more like taster courses.
