⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Dream Stay in the Heart of Grindelwald
The location simply couldn’t be better. It’s just a short walk to Grindelwald Station, only a few minutes from the First cable car, and within easy walking distance of Glacier Canyon. Having everything so close made exploring the Swiss Alps effortless and added so much to our trip.
One of the absolute highlights was the incredible infinity pool. The panoramic views of the Swiss Alps were simply breathtaking and gave the hotel a real “wow” factor. Relaxing in the warm pool while surrounded by snow-capped mountains is an experience we’ll never forget.
The hotel itself was wonderful, and I genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing. The staff, the facilities, the comfort, and the stunning surroundings all came together to create an unforgettable stay.
Staying here made my dream destination in the Swiss Alps even more magical. Hotel Spinne wasn’t just a place to stay—it became part of the experience and one of the highlights of our entire trip.
We will definitely be back… hopefully next time to experience the beauty of Grindelwald in winter! ❄️

Already missing my Eiger View Room
The hotel is charming if a little dated in places but the room and bathroom were both very clean and functional.
Robes and slippers are included in your room for use of the spa facilities, which were amazing and an added bonus after a long day of exploring.
Breakfast included both hot and cold selections, and we enjoyed our omelettes cooked to order every morning. The only downside and this is not a bad reflection on the hotel as we experienced it all over Switzerland, is the influx of flies at mealtimes. In England restaurants have machines to kill flies and keep them away from food but nowhere we visited seemed to have this and you end up swatting them away while eating, which is infuriating, but as it seems to be a countrywide problem this would be no means put us off returning to this gem of a village or hotel.

Great place to stay
The location is fantastic, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent with plenty of options to start the day. The spa was a highlight, especially the hot steam room followed by the cold plunge. It’s a love-hate relationship that somehow leaves you feeling amazing afterward.
Overall, Hotel Spinne delivers a great experience with excellent service, a relaxing spa, and a location that’s hard to beat. Yes, it’s expensive—but that’s Switzerland. If your budget can handle it, your vacation will thank you, even if your credit card needs a few days to recover.

A relaxing vacation
Beautiful spacious room with a nice balcony overlooking the Eiger in a quiet wing (206). The bathroom is a bit small for the size of the room, but all in all, I felt very comfortable.
Comfortable bed (two single beds close together); be careful as there is often a possibility of a gap in between.
Spa area: the pool is very peaceful and a spectacle!! Very comfortable saunas, but the highlight is the wonderful ice zone!!!
