Amazing bargain. Lovely small hotel. Very comfortable. Close to all eateries and shops in Chinatown. Will definitely stay here again when I’m in singapore

Friendly and efficient staff. Great location in the heart of Chinatown. Rooms were basic but clean which is what we needed for just a one-night stay. If you're going fir location and easy on the budget, I recommend this place 100%

Clean, comfortable value-for-money hotel in Chinatown surrounded by eateries and easy walk to public transport

Hotel Mono Singapore on Mosque St has a superb location; short walk to the MRT (underground train station), surrounded by eateries & shops, close to lots of popular places like Lau Pa Sat, Chinatown Point, Maxwell food/hawker centre, famous temples and tourist destinations like Marina Bay & Orchard Rd. Check-in and check-out was fast & problem free, and there is an elevator to take us to our 3rd floor room, important info for those with lots of luggage and/or elderly people. The room was supposedly an upgrade from our original booking of a room with one king bed + sofa bed, to a largish room that had two queen beds with ample space to lay out suitcases and walk around, a spacious bathroom that had a separate fully-enclosed shower room (vs wet room situation where everything gets wet when you turn on the shower) with good water pressure and easy to use temperature controls. The room was NOT facing the road, so it was relatively quiet/peaceful. There is a window overlooking an internal air shaft (common in old shophouses in singapore) with a “black out” roller blind in the bedroom area and another frosted-out window in the bathroom that provided ample natural light. Closet/storage space was sufficient for the 3 of us, a built-in shelf/dining table with two chairs provided space to eat at or to put laptop on, daily housekeeping, complimentary instant coffee, tea & bottles of water were replenished daily, mini fridge, complimentary toiletry sets, shampoo & body wash satisfied most of our needs. There were sufficient electrical & charging outlets in multiple locations to charge devices and wi-fi seemed consistently strong through out the day. The room, bathroom and beddings were clean & comfortable. Air conditioning was quiet & powerful, much needed in hot humid singapore.
NIGGLES : There was the constant sound of water running through the pipes day & night (also very common in old singapore shophouses), which disturbed my sleep on occasion. The “black out” roller blind on the window in bedroom area was too small and the bright singapore sun seeped in all around the edges from 7am every day. The bathroom sink is pretty small/shallow and when you bend over to brush your teeth, you might hit your head on the metal shelf that sits too low above the sink.
INTOLERABLES : The rock hard pillows - even after requesting for softer pillows, I still had to use a rolled up towel on many occasions to provide neck & ear ache relief.
OVERALL, Hotel Mono Singapore is a relatively clean & comfortable value-for-money hotel with an easy commute to eateries, shops, public transport and tourist spots, situated right in the middle of bustling, lively, exciting Chinatown. Even though it does not come with a pool, room service or ice machine, the price to quality ratio is impressive and I can imagine staying here again next time!

The room we received was nothing like what was advertised online and was very misleading.
When our family of four arrived at the hotel, the reception area felt cold and unwelcoming. We then had to wait around 30 minutes before we could access our room.
Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. It felt damp, had a noticeable mouldy smell, and there was very poor sound insulation, with street noise clearly audible throughout our stay.
Overall, this was not the experience we expected based on the online description. I would not recommend staying here and would advise future guests to carefully consider their options before booking.
