Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Such a great stay. Air conditioning worked well. Shower pressure was good and stayed hot as well. Great quiet location steps away from the hustle and bustle. Hosts were extremely hospitable. Definitely a gem in this area.

Bled holiday

We have just arrived home from our 2 week stay at Penzion Kaps and had a wonderful time. Peter greeted us warmly and gave loads of information about Bled and the surrounding areas. Our rooms were lovely, there were 3 of us and we had booked 2 Austrian twin rooms with Tui. We had rooms 3 and 4 which were on the ground floor which was great for us. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom looked newly installed. Plenty of storage and the balconies were pleasant too.
Breakfast was fab, plenty to choose from with lovely bread, cereals, nuts, seeds, fruit, cooked food and yoghurts. Peter was so accomodating as we had informed him that my Mum has a dairy allergy so he provided yoghurts, cheese spread, hazelnut milk and coconut milk for her as well as the other food offerings. We really appreciated it.
We spoke to Darja and she was very friendly and welcoming. She helped us out printing some train tickets and was such a lovely person to chat with. The icing on the cake though was the thought they put into wishing my Mum a happy 80th birthday. They gave her a lovely card with a thoughtful message inside, a balloon, some fizz and a lovely wooden ornament to treasure. They went over and beyond and we thank you so much.
Our stay in Bled was amazing and made so much more perfect by staying at Penzion Kaps. We won't hesitate to come back and stay.

Perfect location and a lovely welcome

This is perfectly located for a trip to lake bled. We loved the room we had which was spacious, well equipped and had a balcony with a great view towards the mountain. The standout service from Peter, telling us how to make the most of our short time in Bled was the icing on the cake and the breakfast was delicious. A special thank you to Peter for reassuring us that we could make our train after we had misread the timetable and panicked - your confidence was much appreciated and we made the train with plenty of time to spare!

What a wonderful hotel!

What a wonderful hotel! We have just come back from a week’s stay, as a mother and daughter, and we could not recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning was most welcome. Our rep told us that the hotel was very popular because of its warm and friendly atmosphere, and we couldn’t agree more!
