Very nice breakfast

We arrived to the hotel very late and the hotel was very accommodating. Great staff, all very friendly. Breakfast was also very nice and the terrace area is good. Would definitely stay again if visiting Kranj.

This is also a coffee shop

Whilst this is a place to stay it also has a small coffee shop on the terrace that is well frequented by locals. Always a good sign. Simple fare and you won't find the the local sausage but superb vegetarian soup, great bread and simple toasted sandwichs, and I suspect good coffee though we didn't have one. Should also be in the restaurant section.

Awesome Place to stay!

Layer Art Residences is situated in a very old town in Kranj that has been well maintained and trtains its olde character and is a very arts focussed town with interesting galleries, bars, places to stay and a small range of interesting shops. We stayed at the Layer resident for 11 nights and ranks as one of the friendliest places we have booked. Normally we stay in 4/5 star hotels so this was a different type of place to stay. The staff are super friendly, professional and efficient. We now consider the staff to be friends, Good bar and rear terrace looks out to the mountains. They have artists in Residence so you can watch as they create all forms of artistic endeavours and some pieces can be purchased. We will return.

Caldo insopportabile

Purtroppo abbiamo alloggiato in estate nella suite: mansarda invivibile per il caldo, il divano letto al piano sotto corto e scomodo.
L'appartamento è abbastanza spazioso, bagno senza finestra e pulizia molto scarsa.
L'idea di alloggiare nell'arte è originale e anche il caffè offre buoni cocktail.
Purtroppo la colazione non viene servita prima delle 9 e quindi bisogna accontentarsi di un croissant a testa in camera, da non dirsi per nulla fragrante.
La città è piccola e merita una breve visita, il residence si trova nel centro storico e purtroppo macchina e bagagli devono essere parcheggiati lontani.

Posto molto carino..migliorare l'organizzazione

Siamo arrivati nel pomeriggio di Pasquetta, ma nessuno ad aspettarci( nonostante previa prenotazione su booking).Abbiamo quindi chiamato il contatto risolvendo la questione dopo 15 minuti di attesa in strada. Camera nel sottotetto dotata di soppalco, con ogni pulizia e comfort (bollitore nel salottino con tè,caffè e camomille.Nel bagno asciugamani e phon). Camera particolare con una scaletta piuttosto ripida ma molto caratteristica. La nostra prenotazione comprendeva la colazione, stabilita alle ore 8:00 (dal proprietario). Ma alle ore 9:00 non c'era ancora niente, per cui siamo dovuti uscire e recarci sotto la pioggia in un bar vicino. La colazione ci è stata comunque detratta dall'importo dovuto,di loro spontanea volontà. Nel complesso quindi la struttura molto bella e caratteristica nel centro di Kranj, e organizzazione da curare un po' meglio. Ma essendo gestita da ragazzi giovani siamo sicuri che con qualche attenzione in più non potrà che migliorare.
