Awful couple of nights at Zenit Borrel

No Privacy
Before leaving the room, we placed the Do Not Disturb sign on our door. When we returned, we found that someone had entered our room and removed the spare key card that had been left inside. We immediately went to reception to ask why anyone had entered our room despite the Do Not Disturb sign.
The only response we received was that it was “a misunderstanding.” There was no proper explanation, no genuine apology, and no attempt to make things right or reassure us that our privacy and belongings had been respected. The staff seemed to treat the situation as if it were insignificant.
For any hotel, respecting a guest’s privacy is one of the most basic expectations. If a Do Not Disturb sign is displayed, entering the room should only happen in exceptional circumstances, and if a mistake is made, it should be handled professionally with a sincere apology and appropriate follow-up. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
This incident completely affected our sense of security and comfort for our stay. We left feeling that our privacy had been violated and that our concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously.
We would not stay here again, nor would we recommend this hotel to anyone who values privacy, professionalism, and respectful customer service.
