Breathtaking location, lovely hosts, and exquisite quiet

We would never have found this place without a tip from a colleague in Tarragona. And even then it was not easy to find, at the end of a windy road up from the tiny village of Arbolí. But it was worth finding! Lovely accommodation, and nearly self-sufficient. Great views across to Siurana and Montsant Natural Park. The hosts could not have been more helpful, and were as friendly as their pets. If fit, hike down the gorge and up to Siurana. Only from there can you appreciate how remote Mas del Salin is, perched on a cliff. Follow their recommendation for a vineyard visit. But perhaps the best part was the absolute quiet we experienced. We stayed two nights and wish we'd had twice that.

Loved it!!!

We had such an amazing time at Mas del Salin. The location is truly spectacular and the owners care for their guest as if they were family. Judith's cooking is great (definitely eat breakfast and dinner here), and she gave us great tips for hikes and trips. The house is beautiful, the rooms clean and cozy. We recommend hiking to Siurana from their place, spectacular views and if you go I the summer, you can jump in the creek to cool off. Greatly recommend staying here if you are looking for a unique location off the beaten track, in nature and silence. Did I mention the stars at night? This is a gem.

Beautiful escape from the city

Our experience was very good. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The food they cook is authentic, and sleep is great (the place is in the middle of the forest and is dead quiet). It's a good place for a trip to Siurana (Google for pictures), and a great climbing spot.
The place prides itself on ecology and self-sustainability. They get their own water from a well and make their own electricity with solar and wind power. The main attraction though is the fact that there is literally no civilization around. That's a very refreshing experience if you come from a big city.

A truly special and quiet place

Me and my parents stayed at Mas Del Salin in april 2014 for two nights. Coming from Estonia, whenever we go somewhere to the nature, it's essential for us to find tranquility and this is what this beautiful place definitely offers. It is completely isolated, on top of a hill that offers spectacular views over Cornudella and Siurana. The people of the house are modest but sweet. I definitely recommend the place for a quiet getaway.

Simple, hidden, pure

We stayed here for 4 nights.
Loved every second of it.
Food is simple but nice. (if you want more sofisticated, there are some possibilities around).
Of course there is a nice selection of Priorat wines.
Real people sharing an experience, and inviting you to be part of it.
A place to go to when you want to get out.
Hospitality in the true sence.
Not fancy though. Just a place you wont forget, and that you want to get back to.
Perfect quite and harmony. ( combination of girlish dream and mountain reality)
Actually the best description is: authentic.
But that only matters for those who can allow themselves to appriciate! :)))
