False description
I booked a Family Room with a “patio view,” which clearly suggests that the room overlooks a patio. In reality, the room has a narrow frosted window with absolutely no view of the outside. This is misleading advertising and does not reflect what is being offered.
What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I am a loyal Meliá customer. I have just spent six wonderful days at another Meliá hotel in Spain and expected the same level of service and consideration here. When I raised the issue with the front desk, I was simply told that they had nothing better to offer.
I understand that a hotel can be fully booked. What I cannot accept is a room being advertised as having a “patio view” when there is no view at all, and a loyal customer being treated with such indifference.
I cannot recommend this hotel until the description of this room category accurately reflects reality.

We are sorry that the room did not meet your expectations. The Family Room assigned to you corresponded to the category originally reserved, which is an interior-facing room. We nevertheless understand that the description may have led you to expect a different type of outlook, and we appreciate you bringing this perception to our attention.
When you shared your disappointment with our team, we did our best to find an alternative despite the availability at the time and offered you an upgrade to a Premium The Level room. However, as this alternative was also interior-facing and its configuration was less convenient for your family, you ultimately preferred to remain in the original Family Room.
We regret if our response at the time came across as indifferent, as this was certainly not our intention. Your comments regarding how the room category is presented are valuable and will be taken into consideration.
We sincerely hope this particular experience will not overshadow the trust you have placed in Meliá through your previous stays.

Bad service!!!
When you go up to the rooms, it is old, poorly maintained, with a bad smell.
The worst part is the service, in general a very unfriendly service, in the lobby several waiters act as if they do not see anyone to avoid serving, they have an arrogant attitude and know nothing about the products they sell.
The only good things are the lobby and the location, but the experience is not pleasant.
