Terrible customer service

The apartments are undergoing renovations and leave much to be desired; luckily, where we were placed on the third floor, they were renovated and we were very comfortable.
There is a lack of cleanliness everywhere, both in the rooms and at the pool; everything is very neglected. It is a shame because the area is very nice.
The bar downstairs at the entrance is terrible; our experience was awful from start to finish. To start, the table service was disastrous: the waitress was not attentive at any time and we had to keep calling her constantly every time we needed something. The food did not improve the situation, as they served us bread that was literally hard as a rock. To top it off, when we left, they told us not to come back. Don't worry, we had no intention of doing so. Low quality, bad service, and zero manners.

Not Great

The 2nd floor apartments are dated and need updating. No soundproofing so you hear every sound. We endured 3 nights of the apartment next to ours partying until 4am. Reception is only available for about 8 hours a day. There is no one to monitor behaviour, noise etc. Hob was rusty and certainly didn’t look safe to use.
No iron, kettle or hairdryers in apartments. No cooking utensils. Wooden doors rotting.
Grouting black and mouldy.
The positives are:
Great views from the right apartments. Great restaurant attached to the apartments. Reception staff helpful when there. Beds comfortable. Shower powerful although the repaired bath was off putting. Nice area.

Impossible coexistence

The duplexes on the beach of the hotel would be great if it weren't for the fact that the hotel has rented them to a gypsy clan that does not respect the rules of coexistence and there are 50 people in 3 duplexes. It seems that the hotel doesn't care as long as they get paid. What a shame. I will not return under those conditions.

H is for Hovel.

⭐☆☆☆☆ – H stands for Hovel
If you’re looking for a nostalgic trip back to 1987, complete with rusty nails, broken furniture and décor that time forgot, then congratulations… you’ve found it.
The photos on Booking.com bear only a passing resemblance to reality. The reception is modern enough and gives you hope. Unfortunately, that’s where the illusion ends.
The “Irish Tavern” advertised? Permanently closed. That didn’t bother me in the slightest, but perhaps remove the photos so guests know what they’re actually booking.
Our apartment was clean, but that’s about the nicest thing I can say. The kitchenette didn’t even have a kettle. The wardrobe had broken doors and drawers with rusty nails sticking out, furniture looked like it had been chewed by mice, the balcony railings were rusting away, and the patio doors felt like they were about to come off their runners every time you opened them.
The bathroom was so small a hobbit would have struggled to turn around. The sink was cracked, paint was flaking from the ceiling, broken fittings protruded from the walls, the toilet flush had a personality disorder, and for reasons known only to the original architect, there was a cracked bidet taking up what little floor space existed.
The furniture was chipped, electrical sockets looked like museum exhibits, lopsided and hanging out of the walls, several light bulbs didn’t work, and every time the key card was inserted the electricity box made a loud click-click-click noise like the countdown in an action movie. I genuinely wondered if I should start running.
The walls are apparently made of tracing paper. We could hear conversations, sneezes, crying babies, children having meltdowns… and yes, even people farting in neighbouring apartments. Privacy is clearly considered an optional extra.
The pool itself is lovely, but it’s only open from 10am–2pm and 4pm–6pm, which is bizarre for a holiday resort. Around it you’ll find ageing plastic sunbeds, many broken and decorated with bird droppings, alongside filthy umbrellas with broken arms and sharp metal spikes sticking out. The pool bar is permanently closed, weeds have taken over the grounds, and rusty abandoned fixtures are scattered around like an archaeological dig.
Outside the hotel is equally neglected. The advertised beach access isn’t direct, you have to leave the property and walk around the back along a dirt track. The nearest shop is about a 15-minute walk away, and the nearby shopping centre is abandoned and falling apart.
The beds are tiny. My six-foot son practically slept with his feet in the hallway.
The staff weren’t particularly welcoming, and the overall impression is of a property that has simply been forgotten. It’s such a shame because the location beside the beach is genuinely excellent. With serious investment and a complete renovation, this could be a fantastic place to stay.
Instead, it feels like someone built a lovely holiday complex decades ago, locked the maintenance cupboard, threw away the key, and never came back.
Even if I’d stayed here free of charge, this review would be exactly the same.
