Perfect for an unplugged stay
The chilled house (these sort of finchas are usually cooler than the out-side temperature) was in a decent condition, and we had absolutely no troubles during our stay. We stayed 2 persons. The fincha looked and felt very aesthetical.
We arrived late at night in a delayed flight, an arrived an hour later than planned, but the host greeted us, which we are very thankful for. The host did not speak spanish, but provided the information needed at arrival anyways.
The view was perfect, and the sun shone on the terrace untill evening ( 6PM).
I enjoyed the stay at the house, but be aware of the steep drive way, no internet acces, and the long distance of driving in the mountains (but a beautiful view) if you don't drive via the (one) motorway of Gran Canaria.
Everything in the kitchen functioned (we cooked every evening), and we only used one of the possible electric heaters one evening.
The television had Spanish and German channels.
If you continue to upwards Calle Cuevas Morenas by foot, there is a beautiful hiking trip.

Warning re Casa Cuevas Morenas - Never again

to guests who want to book this house and also to other agents fx Ferienhäuser24.org, who has the same house on their list.
We are a Danish couple who booked this house at Gran Canaria for 10 days 4-14 March 2013 – Casa Rural Cuevas Morenas near Teror. Booking agent: Holidays2TheCanaries.com (M. Riera). Too late we read a description by an Dutch couple who had holiday in March 2011, but had to leave the house after 1 night due to 15 degrees in the house. As we had paid all the money, we decided to try anyway, but discussed this problem with the agent, who said there would be no problems. Unfortunately, we also had to leave after 1 night. Reasons: Less than 15 degrees in living rooms and bedroom. There were only 2 heaters in total, one in bedroom and one in living room. Beds moist, furniture and bed covers dirty (sandy). Electricity problems (you had to close something down, if you wanted to use something else). Oven did not Work and had not worked for a long time (and the owner could not care less), even if we stressed that we wanted an oven. Frying pans awful and not good for your health - the black inside was scrabed off). Dining table was more outside than inside the house, more like a shed. Very very cold. Windows and doors were not tight, wind could get in (reason for the low temperature). Deep mould smell. Steep road leading to parking problems, only possible to back away from the house, only 1 lane and steep ground on the right side (not mentioned at all in description of the house). Problems because of not sufficient information from the agent to the owner and us, in spite of everything was in writing (mails from us before leaving for the holiday). We have mailed a complaint plus later mails, but we will not get any money back. However, the agent has taken the house from their list at present, but doesn’t want to pay us anything back anyway. They also offered us a “nice discount” if we would use their agency later (they might have a bad conscious anyway). Hope this can be of help to other people, who doesn’t want to lose DKK 5.500. Conclusion: The house should not be rented out at all according to our opinion.
