Myself and my sister booked for a 2 night stay only the day before our stay after reading the reviews on here
We turned up to be pleasantly surprised
The receptionist Siri was so friendly and explained to us our room was high up and was a little worried if we would be ok to get up the hill and stairs as we are both in our 60s … well I’m 60 and my sister is a little older
I told her we would be fine
We both knew that the place was built up high and has lots of steps
So take note , yes it’s up high and has lots of steps don’t be surprised when you arrive and then write a bad review because of it
Our room was C8 ( I think ) a superior Ocean view right at the back of the property
The view was amazing looking over Kata beach
Large balcony with 2 chairs and table
The room was very clean and large
King bed with white crisp sheets
Large fridge crockery and cutlery
The bathroom was large and clean the water pressure was low but we didn’t find it a problem
Mr Da ( the owner )was lovey we both had a chat with him threw his broken English and our none Thai we had a great laugh
We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Da Bungalows

8 wonderful days, shame we couldn't stay longer. Spacious studio apartment with sea view, beach towels are also provided, changed every day... you can prepare breakfast, there is a kettle and everything you need to make coffee... sink... detergent... cups, fridge etc. excellent wifi connection..comfortable mattress..spacious wardrobe..everything perfect I would say..friendly and smiling reception staff..impeccable cleanliness..beach 2 minutes away..the area is served and close to everything!!!

Definitely worth it

If your searching for a place to be 100% confortable to stay in Kata, Da Bungalows its the best option you have.
For super accessible price, this bungalows offer you giant beds to sleep, and if you want, more than 1, not only this, but you may also find in your room a 4K giant TV and in front of it a big and confortable sofa.
I stayed in 2 different rooms and they were all cleaned up and organizated. The place itself its very quiet so you will certainly sleep well. Also the employees were very nice. It's the best hotel I've been in Thailand.
Now the negative points of it. First I want to advice that to get at your bungalow you must walk by a very hight ramp at the entrance, so if you have any difficulty walking it's not nice, for me it was good because it provided a spectacular view of the beach.
And second some rooms don't have shower box, which was no problem for me but other people may not like it.
In the end I really recommend it because for the price and quality you will easily forget the bad aspects of it.

Great view...

We stayed 5 nights in Nov 2023, and really enjoyed it. Had a spectacular view of the beach (though as ever with a view, a climb is necessary). Very clean and comfortable accommodation, firm bed, little kitchenette with fridge and a good functional bathroom. Air con very good, and pleasant to sit outside in the evening. Close to Kata beach, though we preferred the 8-10 min walk to Kata Noi. Lots of amenities around (like scooter hire and tours) but the local restaurants are a bit disappointing and oriented to Russians and their palates, meaning compromise on spices and flavour.

excellent value for money, very good Thai and European cuisine, clean and super wooden decoration, fast and efficient service, to eat without
moderation, only downside a little noisy on the side of the road, I recommend it without hesitation, worth the detour!
