Bang for your Buck

I was here in low season and had the place practically to myself. Big shared showers; shared kitchen is convenient, but what's really convenient is the port, vairous beaches, motorbike rental and gas, great local restaurants and shops, and happy hour at Blue Sky! True, the owner wasn't there a lot but the sweet restaurant lady next door was left in charge. She is truly lovely and makes a kick A som tom (papaya salad). I wish I had stayed longer than my 2 weeks, but my visa was expiring. If you can stay here, by all means do! (also if you don't want to rent a motorbike, there are motor taxi drivers you can get easily here to take you around to the beaches, very convenient and nice for when you wanna have some peace of mind on the broken roads) Anyway you can walk to several beaches from here and the view to the mainland is precious this side.

Abandoned

This place is been a big mistake, we booked only 2 nights but we though to stay here longer... We left as soon as possible. The hostel has not anybody to take care. The room is dirty and gloomy... Ok cheap but this not possible

Absolutely Not!

This hostel will let you down! We arrived to an empty hostel as in no checkin staff, we were informed the owner was at the Cashew festival! We rang him and he almost refused to return to check ya in but we persisted. The owner refused us access to our booked dormitory beds from booking. Claiming the property was full that he had people that wouldn’t leave! We had nowhere to stay! This is a joke for what is supposed to be a hostel. He arranged two days alternative accommodation which was nice but we were thrown out in the morning and told to go back to the hostel. We asked them to ring and confirm which they did. On arrival the same issue! Please avoid this place it is unorganised and a shambles I severely doubt it will be clean as they can even manage the bookings.
