My Second Home

The hostel is located in one of the best location in Istanbul. The staffs are very friendly and polite. The rooms and bathrooms/showers are clean. They host fun activities like dinners and pub crawls, there is a great social atmosphere. If you love animals, they have a cat named Mimi. You should choose this hostel if you want to feel at home.

Great stay at the hostel.

My time at the Second Home Hostel was simply wonderful. The hostel has a good location that is close to the attractions and where one feels safe. The staff at the hostel are friendly and helpful. The family dinner, which was traditionally Turkish, was very delicious every time and a great opportunity to meet other guests. In general, it is a great social hostel, and if one does not happen to meet someone on the rooftop terrace, the hostel offers activities like pub crawls, parties, or group game nights. Since I was traveling solo, this was a greater added value for me. Additionally, the hostel offers activities that can be easily done alone, such as a walking tour or a Turkish hammam. Otherwise, everything was clean, with good communication and good service. I would come back again.

Unforgettable Experience

Second Home Hostel really does live up to its name—this hostel provides everything one can imagine. The location is perfectly convenient, located in the heart of Istanbul’s historic tourist district with mobility to all parts of the city. The hostel itself is warm and welcoming, with a team that provides guests with every possible facility to make for the perfect stay. Second Home has provided me with an unforgettable experience, and with a place I can always come back to in Istanbul. I would recommend this establishment to absolutely everyone!

Great stay

First off, Halil is the man, he makes the best breakfast you can have in istanbul.
Nabiha should run the place.
Hostel’s nice too, cool people good vibes very social and really close to all the historical sites.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.

This hostel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The location of the hostel is excellent; it is near Hagia Sophia and is well connected to the major attractions of the city. The area is very safe, and I have never had any problems, even when returning to the hostel late at night (especially considering that I am a girl traveling alone). I have always felt comfortable at Second Home Hostel. As the name suggests, I truly felt like I had found a second home here in Istanbul. The hostel organizes a lot of activities such as pub crawls, boat parties, and family dinners with delicious food and great company. I met wonderful people and made a lot of new friends from all over the world. I never felt alone at Second Home Hostel, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a safe place to truly feel at home. Highly approved!!!
